Chapter 17: The Transmigrator and Aileen (End)

1148 Words
In the neighboring country, Denobos, a happy family of four was having a simple meal inside their kitchen. They were never touched by the war from their old dwelling. This picture was very peaceful and wonderful to look at that even spirits from the netherworld will feel fulfilled. Ye Ai, watched her supposed father and mother and her two little siblings without expression. She had seen such scenes before and also those far uglier ones. It was good that Caron was healing nicely from his ailments while Chichi has grown into a fine young lady. The former has now moving on his own unlike before who's only been lying in bed all the time; the latter has the looks of a blooming young teen when she's yet to reach her seventh year. It has been a while since they last saw each other but Ye Ai can leave them without any problems now. Normally she wouldn't care, after all these were all codes and programs. But to make a show for her system she really went all out. Ye Ai even founded a very successful business for the family under Aileen's management in the capital of Denobos. The moment she leaves, she knew the world would provide for a standing soul to continue the life Aileen. And now the one thing remaining was her harvest. "Go now, Xiaoyi." [Harvesting...] While her system busily did its job, she was also doing a very fine job on her own. She held a small ball like a marble in her hand, the condensed energy from the world law. But instead of swallowing it she crushed it with her hand and an invisible powder swirled around her and silently seeped deep into her body, into her very soul. [Finished!] "Very good. Are we going back now?" [Do you want to, Host Ai? We can still stay.] "We're done right?" [Yes, although I never thought this would be the end of all of that. It was scary for my first task.] "Don't worry, Xiaoyi. I will never let anything hurt you." [Me, too, Host Ai.] "Good, very good." [Hah, we harvested quite enough for the first world and a very chaotic one but I still don't understand why the world let all these happened.] Usually, any big scenario like the civil war in Alcada should never have happened. The problem lied with the loss of the world law's target, the transmigrated and protagonist, Althea. It was as if a program was made specifically for a function but the function was never approved thus the program has no use until it was reprogrammed. And in this case, the programmer was Ye Ai. [Our plan was to follow the Crown Prince to finish our task, give Aileen a successful and happy life but it all ended this way. Although we reached our goal but not the way we planned.] 'It was YOUR plan, not ours,' Ye Ai thought silently. [After the mental breakdown of that transmigrated bug, the Prince suddenly seized the place but the traps in the mansion got activated. He was almost dead. Won't you visit and pray for him?] "You really followed me calling her transmigrated bug ah?" [Of course.] Feeling amused with the proud tone of her system, she continued. "And I don't believe in praying, especially gods." [Eh, but I was made by gods.] "They are called administrators." [But there's also the main god ah.] "Have you met him or her?" [No... that's beyond my—] "Then he's a hoax." [That!] "If he's there, why would he let all these happen, Xiaoyi? For our conversation's sake let's call him a he. Did he enjoy suffering and injustices? If not why continue making these worlds? Why won't he do something against those administrators who keep on wasting energy?" [Host Ai, please don't speak like these outside the worlds. They won't hear or know when were inside another world law but they will if we return to the great space.] "I know, I'm still under probation. If they hear me they'll chuck me back there and this time for forever." 'And I won't get back the things they took from me nor get my revenge.' [It's good you understand. I don't want you back there. Loneliness is worse than death.] "Xiaoyi... you're getting better each time," she smiled although she knew her system really has no idea where there was actually. [I am growing and learning from the best.] "Silver tongue." [Sweet not silver.] "I don't like sweets." [Oh...] "Where is that thing?" [What ‘thing’?] "Little Bai!" she called. "Squeak!" something white jumped from somewhere. "Where have you been?" "Squeak!" "I shouldn't have asked." "Squeee—ak!" "Even if you charade all day I won't understand. You're too plump, too." "Squeak!!" it squeaked so fiercely. [Haha! It's angry!] "Squeak! Squeak!" [Stupid, no one understands you.] "Squeak!" the look on the rabbit seemed want to sulk and crossed its limbs on its chest but due to fat it couldn't reach. "I told you, you've become too fat." "Squeeeeak!!!" "Noisy." [Haha! Fatty! Abnormal fatty!] "..." (Little Bai) [You'll die of Diabetes and High Cholesterol. Then we'll just chuck you to the creek! Haha!] "..." (Little Bai) [But of course we'll sell your fur first to get back all our expenses.] "Grr... [OXOXOX]!" [What did you say?] "..." (Ye Ai) [And did you just growl at me?!] "It's a special language," Ye Ai said quietly but her gaze with the white plump intensified. "..." Little Bai didn't even squeak after its slip up. Its expression seemed to be sweating in nervousness. "Where are you going?" Ye Ai smiled at the little thing which tried to jump off her embrace. "I fed you, gave you warmth and kept you entertained. Where are you going then?" "..." the squirming Little Bai has no way to flee. [You mean, Host Ai?] "Someone's watching us." [Crap.] "Did you just curse?" [But you always do that!] "I was only checking. Good job, Xiaoyi." [...] Without warning, Little Bai suddenly turned to crystal lights and vanished from her embrace. "Trace it." [Searching...] [Target Lost.] [Sorry, Host Ai...] "No worries, it'll be back." [...] "Don't mind it, Xiaoyi. I never thought you could track it." [Then why did you ask me to?!] "It can't hurt trying." [...] "With its disguising ability, it seemed to be one of the administrators." [But it didn't seem wary of you like the other administrator.] "Good point. It could be an extremely old and very shrewd administrator." Someone in the space suddenly sneezed hard as the familiar energy rushed to the person. When the light converged, it formed into a crossbreed of a rabbit and a monkey and suddenly made a sound. "Squeak!" "Where have you been?" the voice asked but only received a series of squeaking which was clearly non-understandable.
