Chapter 2

When we arrived at Texas, South Carolina, I was getting depressed from all the humans I feed from, with their emotions of fear coming off them in waves, It just gets too much for me. I decided it was time to leave Peter and Char to go on my own for a bit.

As I was walking down the stairs to go to the main room to speak to Peter and Char they was talking about something to do with me. I sat down across from them...

“Peter, Char. I’m going to go off on my own for a bit, I’m sorry we will stay in contact” They didn’t look at all surprised, I guess Peter’s gift as been going off.

“Of course Major. We’ll see you soon. Just look after yourself, and listen to what I’m about to tell you... Don’t kill random vampires that cross your trail okay?” The way he said it was like is Yoda s**t kicking in. I nodded and gave Peter a man hug and Char a hug, and took off in the night sky.

60 years of killing humans, 60 years full of guilt. I could feel it washing over me like waves, but what could I do? I’m a vampire there is no other way of life.

*6 months later*

It’s been 6 months since I left Peter and Char and hunting has become a major problem, I suffer every time I feed, so I just feed when necessary.

I just arrived in Philadelphia, walking in the pouring rain with my cowboy hat covering my eyes, so humans don’t get suspicious, I walked past a diner, when I thought It was best I go in, so human don’t get suspicious of me.

As soon as I walked in a tidal wave of excitement hit me full force, It made me smile a bit for the first time in 60 years, It may not of been a big smile but it was still there, I didn’t dare breath so I walked over to a table in the corner away from the humans. I looked around when I noticed a beautiful women sat at the counter, she had long curly brown hair that came to her waist, she had a curvy frame, she looked to be about 5’0 at the most, what shocked me the most was her gold eyes and the vampire sent coming from her, she smell of lavender and strawberries. She jumped off her stool and walked over to me and sat down in front of me.

“You’ve kept me waiting long enough soldier” She told me, her voice was like a bell, but what shocked me the most was she didn’t call me Major, like she knew I didn’t want to be reminded of my past, I looked at her eyes, and It was like I could fall deep into her deep golden eyes, it felt like she could see my soul, as soon as I looked away from her eyes I felt a pull in my chest.... She’s my mate, I can feel her pull towards me through my gift....

“I’m sorry ma’am” I told her tipping my hat a bit, like the southern gentleman I am.

“It’s quite alright I knew you would come eventually. I’ve been waiting for 2 years to meet you”

“How did you know I would come here?”

“Well I don’t remember my human life not one thing about it, I don’t know who my sire is, nothing, except that my name is Bella Swan, I’ve been like this for 3 years now, when I ‘woke’ I had a vision, I can see the future, my first vision I had was of you, coming to this cafe, and that’s how we would meet.”

“My names Jasper Whitlock ma’am. Wow, that’s some gift you’ve got darlin. You don’t remember anything?”

“Nope, just my name, I don’t want to seem like I’m telling you what to do with your life it’s your life to live, but my visions have been of us been mates, and going to live with a family called the Cullen’s, they are ‘vegetarians’ you could say. They only feed off the blood of animals, It doesn’t do anything to our strength of ourselves or our gifts, I’ve been on the diet since I had the vision”

“So I was right then we our mates? I appreciate you telling me what I can do with my life, but now I’ve met you I don’t think I could leave you. Can that work feeding off of animals?”

“Yes it works Jasper, that’s why my eyes are gold, there are 5 of them, there are the leader of the coven and his mate who are called Carlisle and Esme, then there is another mated couple who are called Rosalie and Emmett and there is another one called Edward he hasn’t met his mate yet. They live amongst the human, Carlisle is a doctor, Esme stays at home and re-models properties, Emmett, Rosalie and Edward go to school so they can blend in”

“I never knew there was another way, I can’t take the guilt anymore, It’s just been too much for me. I’m sure you know I’m an empathy don’t you?”

“Yes I do, I’m sorry I know a lot about you even the stuff about your past, I am truly sorry, it came to me like information in my head, when I first woke up and had the first vision of you there. You don’t know nothing about me, but I can’t really tell you much, when I first had the first vision of you coming here, I came straight away not knowing how long it was going to be, I started the ‘vegetarian’ diet”

“It’s okay, at least I don’t have to tell you about my past which is a relief, can you help me with the vegetarian diet?”

“Of course, let me just go say by to Michael, and tell him I’m leaving town, he’s been a good friend for the past 2 years”

“Ok, I will meet you outside ma’am”

Bella walked up to the counter to say goodbye while I walked out to wait for my mate, I don’t believe it, I need to talk to Peter the little fucker, he knew and didn’t tell me. She is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen.
