Storm I had been running for hours when the ground suddenly dropped away ahead of me. I skidded to a stop. Water. A massive body of it stretched out before me, disappearing into the darkness beneath the pounding rain. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” I paced along the shoreline, searching for a way around it.
