Slowly the circle tightened, they moved deliberately now. Five wolves, every of their steps measured, their breath steady, their eyes locked on me with a cold, hunting patience that made my skin tremble beneath my fur.
They knew I was trapped, they could afford to take their time, not like I had anywhere to go. Instinctively a low growl built in my throat, I couldn't even control myself, my body braced as my mind screamed for a way out, but there wasn’t one.
