Ryan's pov

Ryan and Zeke had been on the road for around 3 hours music played through the radio as Ryan concentrated on the road while Zeke's phone kept getting message's every few minutes "Ilara said you're an asshole for not allowing her to come with us" Zeke said as he looked up from his phone.

Ilara was suppose to be coming on this trip with the Ryan and Zeke but unfortunately she was summoned by her coven.

Ryan glanced at his friend with a slight smile on his face "well I can only deal with one of you idiots at a time" Ryan said bringing his attention back to the road.

Zeke looked at Ryan with a playful smirk on his face "hey we're not annoying we're happy you're just jealous" Zeke said before shaking his head as he went back to messaging Ilara once more as Ryan rolled his eyes at his friends comment.

"Of what she wines too much and you're basically my son considering I'm the one who turned you" Ryan said matter of factly.

When a vampire turns someone they create a parental like bond between them meaning that in Vampire society the one who turns someone is considered there parent and is responsible for teaching them everything they need to know.

About 20 minutes later a sign could be seen at the side of the road telling the tired duo there was a rest stop up ahead "let's pull over at the next stop to stretch our legs and get something to eat before continuing onwards" Ryan said as he rolled his neck causing it to pop and crack.

Zeke nodded his head telling Ryan he had heard his suggestion.

As soon as Ryan pulled over at the rest stop Zeke bolted out of the car mutering that he needed to pee as Ryan slowly climbed out after him and heading to the diner.

Just as he was about to head inside he heard a child's voice "help" Ryan stopped and listened again but after 10 minutes he still didn't hear the voice again "I must be more tired from the drive than I thought" he said to himself as he shrugged his shoulders before proceeding to walk inside the diner.

Ryan looked around at the inside of the diner to see it had a retro 60s feel to it with booths that had red leather seats and a jukebox that played classic songs from singers such as Elvis, The Beatles and many others as he quickly made his way to an empty booth and looked through the menu.

While Ryan was looking through the menu a waitress walked up to his table with a sway to hips as she sauntered over leaning over ever so slightly revealing her very obvious cleavage "so what will you be having handsome" the woman said as Ryan bearly glanced at her holding back the urge to roll his eyes at her obvious attempt at flirting.

Ryan looked at the smiling woman before looking out the window to see Zeke heading his way causing an idea to form in his head 'I hope Ilara won't kill me for what I'm about to do' "actually I'm waiting for my boyfriend" Ryan said as he motioned towards the door where Zeke could be seen entering.

As Zeke was walking towards him he communicated with him via his telepathic ability 'Zeke I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend so this annoying woman will leave me alone' Zeke flinched slightly when he heard this but subtly nodded his head before sitting down at the booth across from Ryan.

As soon as Zeke sat across from him Ryan took his hand in his and smiled lovingly at him he was able to do this because he had saw the way Ilara looked at Zeke "you got here just in time babe this lovely lady here was just about to take our order" Ryan said as he gestured to the waitress while trying his best to not roll his eye's.

Zeke held back his laughter at the look of shock on the waitresses face as she tried to collect herself "well you should have just ordered for me silly" Zeke said as he held back a laugh while Ryan's left eye twitched in annoyance.

Ryan looked at Zeke who was having fun at his expense and swore to himself that he would make him suffer later.

As Ryan thought this Zeke felt a shiver run down his spine 'is someone cursing me?' Zeke thought to himself as he told the waitress his order.

Once the woman had finished taking Ryan and Zeke's order she quickly made herself scarce "do you really have to get so much enjoyment out of my suffering" Ryan said as he and Zeke sat across from each other.

Zeke looked at Ryan with a smirk "oh come on it's funny did you not see her face it was priceless" Zeke said letting out a small chuckle as Ryan joined him once he remembered the woman's face.

After they had finished eating and payed for their meal Ryan and Zeke exited the diner but just as they were about to reach the car Ryan once again heard a voice "please ... help ... me" Ryan stopped when he heard the voice once more and looked around searching for where it was coming from.

Zeke saw Ryan had stopped with a focused look on his face as he looked around the car park "what's the matter?" Zeke asked wondering why Ryan had stopped.

Ryan looked at the confused Zeke but just as he was about to say something he once again heard the voice "help ... me" Ryan looked in the direction of the forest "you didn't hear that?" Ryan asked as he continued to look at the forest with furrowed brows.

Zeke looked at Ryan with a hint of worry on his face "I didn't hear anything are you okay?" Zeke asked now worrying for his friend.

When Ryan was about to respond he heard a woman's voice 'help them my child save the children' the woman's sweet voice said as he felt a pull telling him to head into the forest.

Ryan looked back at Zeke and said "just head to the meeting tell them I got held up" before tossing Zeke his key's as he ran into the forest using his Vampiric speed leaving Zeke looking in the direction he disappeared.

An hour later Ryan arrived at a clearing in the forest were he saw a lone young man with short chocolate brown hair protectively standing in front of a bunch of terrified children as a group of rogue wolves approached them.

As Ryan stood there the most amazing scent he had ever smelt wafted through the air it smelled like chocolate and lavender but he was snapped out of his trace like state by one of the rogue wolves voice "hand over the pups and we won't hurt you an Omega like you can't protect them anyway" one of the wolves said grinning at the young man.

Ryan looked on as the young man growled at the rogue Beta without any fear "don't even think about stepping one step closer or do you want to end up like your friend" the young male Omega said not backing down as he pointed to a rogue wolf who lay unconscious in front of a tree.

The smile on the rogue Beta's face disappeared before he attacked the young man but unlike what Ryan and everyone thought the young man not only fought back but fought off the Beta to everyone's shock.

The Omega smirked at the Beta as his face turned red with anger as he and the other wolves surrounded the Omega and the pup's "now I don't think that's fair" Ryan said as he strolled forward causing everyone to look in his direction.

Upon seeing his purple eye's the rogues knew they were dealing with an Alpha and instinctively regrouped "this has nothing to do with you so leave" the same Beta from before said as Ryan stepped in front of the young man and the pup's.

Ryan looked over the young Omega checking for any injuries and upon seeing that there were none on him he breathed out a sigh a relief.

He felt oddly concerned about the young Omega and he could only think of one reason why 'could he be' Ryan couldn't finish his thought because he was distracted by the Omega.

As Ryan's eye's roamed over the Omega's body he couldn't help but realise just how beautiful he was "How can he be so beautiful?" Ryan mumbled not realising he said it aloud before he shook his head before focusing back on the rogue's.

'This isn't the time to be checking out some random Omega no matter how attractive he his' Ryan thought to himself as he looked at the rogue's as his expression became cold devoid of any warmth he had just shown the Omega.

Ryan looked at the group of rogue's with a cold expression on his face while saying "well I'm making it my business" as he made a wall out of Earth that surrounded the pup's protecting them from the rogue's.

Before he dashed forward and attacked the rogue wolves one thought unknowingly went through Ryan's mind 'no one attacks what's mine' as he began to slaughter them.
