The Familiar Stranger

Kai's pov

Kai looked on as the stranger thrust his hand through one of the rogues chests before he moved on to kill the rogue wolves left and right as though they were nothing but despite the m******e in front of him something inside him knew that the stranger wouldn't harm him or the pup's.

As the stranger continued to kill the rogue wolves Kai thought back on the event's that led him to be in this situation and sighed 'why do I always end up in situations like this' he thought to himself.

9 hours earlier

Kai woke up the next morning to the sound of laughter and the footsteps of Lisa and her son Max joking coming from the living room "haha mommy you can't catch me" the little boy said causing Kai to smile as he got out of his bed and shrugged on t-shirt before walking into the living room.

He came out just as a naked and soaked Max came barrelling out of the bathroom and towards him "save me Kai" Max said as the wet young boy hid behind him soaking his joggers, as his mother Lisa who was just as wet as Max was came out of the bathroom and straight towards them.

Kai looked down at the Max before looking at Lisa and put on a fake look of horror "don't worry Prince Max I your faithful guard shall save you from the evil sea witch" Kai said as he pretended to brandish a sword at Lisa.

Lisa looked at Kai with a scowl "really an evil sea witch" Lisa said as she stalked towards Kai and her son who hid behind him.

Kai smirked at Lisa as she approached them "begone foul wench" Kai said as he picked Lisa up and threw her over his shoulder like a sack of potato's carrying her away as Max giggled behind him.

"put me down you i***t" Lisa screamed as she was carried away by Kai and dumped on the coach soaking it but before she could recover she was assaulted by Kai tickling her causing her to burst out laughing.

"s-s-stop y-you asshole" Lisa shouted out between laughs as she weakly tried to pry Kai's hands from her sides as Max laughed at her.

20 minutes later

Kai and Lisa bid farewell to Max as they dropped him off at school before heading to work "bye my little Maxie be good and mummy will pick you up after work sweetheart" Lisa said as she hugged her son.

Max returned her hug with a smile on his face "okay mummy will Kai be coming with you?" the cute 4 year old asked curiously as he looked at Kai with big round pleading eye's.

Kai groaned when he saw the puppy dog eye's Max was giving him 'no not the look please anything but the look' Kai thought to himself as Max continued to look at him hopefully while still wrapped in his mother's embrace.

Lisa released Max and looked him in the eye's "I'm sorry sweetheart but Uncle Kai has to work late tonight so it'll be just you and me so you know what that means" Lisa said as Max's face initially became sad but when he heard what Lisa said his face changed to one of glee.

Max jumped up an down in celebration "pancakes and ice cream with chocolate sauce" Max said shouted with glee knowing what his mother was talking about.

Lisa loved to spoil her son with thing's like this which made Kai have to be the responsible one of the two so Max didn't get sick.

Kai furrowed his brows when he heard what Lisa said "don't you dare you know what happens when he has too much sugar" Kai said as he looked at a smiling Lisa and Max.

Max and Lisa looked at one another before they pulled out there tongues at Kai before running off into the safety of school while Lisa ran to the car avoiding Kai's impending rant.

Kai shook his head as he released a small laugh at the mother and son duo's antics before he proceeded to enter his car and driving to work.

7 hours later

Kai exited the Golden Rose into the cold night air letting out a breath as leaned against the wall of the alleyway that was adjacent to the restaurant sending up a puff of white air from his mouth.

*haaaah* Kai breathed out as he looked at the cloudy night sky above his head catching a glimpse of the full moon as it peeked out from behind the cover of the cloud's.

Kai continued to stare at the cloud's until he heard the sound of a young child's cry "ahh please someone please help us" the young child's voice said pleading for someone to save them.

Kai quickly followed the sound of the voices to the edge of the forest that was near the Golden Rose and as he drew closer he picked up on the familiar scent of rogue's.

Kai glanced back at the Golden Rose just as Lisa came outside and quickly made up his mind before following the scent deeper into the forest.

1 hour later

With Kai's extraordinary sense of smell he could easily follow the scent trail left behind by the rogue's no matter how well they covered their tracks.

He followed the trail for over ran hour before he came to a clearing were he saw a group of rogue's and 10 young pup's who cowered in fear on them.

As Kai looked at the scene before him his wolf Eco growled in his head as he said 'those filthy rogue's kidnapped some pup's from a nearby pack we have to help them' Kai heard Eco say as he struggled to take control of Kai's body.

Kai reigned Eco in with great effort 'we need to stay calm charging in would only endanger the pup's we need to think about this rationally' although Kai said this when he saw one of the rogue's who hit one of pup's he could no longer control Eco as he took over Kai's body and charged at the rogue's.

Eco who was now in control of Kai's body rapidly approached the rogue who hit the pup and punched him in the face.

When his fist connected with the rogue's jaw a loud cracking sound resounded just as the rogue flew a few metres before coming to a halt in front of a tree.

Before any of the rogue's could react Kai who had managed to regain control from Eco turned to the pup's "Run you need to get up and run" but because the young pup's were to fear stricken they were unable to move.

Kai looked at the pup's before he heard a voice come from behind him "hand over the pups and we won't hurt you an Omega like you can't protect them anyway" one of the wolves said grinning at the young man.

Kai growled at the rogue Beta without any fear "don't even think about stepping one step closer or do you want to end up like your friend " Kai said not backing down as he pointed to the outcold rogue who lay nearby.

The smile on the rogue Beta's face disappeared as he attacked the young man but unlike what Ryan and everyone thought the young man not only fought back but fought off the Beta to everyone's shock.

Kai smirked at the Beta as his face turned red with anger as he motioned for the other wolves to surround Kai and the pup's "now I don't think that's fair" a voice said as a tall figure strolled forward from the shadow's causing everyone to look in his direction.

Kai looked at the direction were the voice came from and saw a extremely handsome man and he couldn't help but get the feeling he saw him somewhere before.

Upon seeing the familar strangers purple eye's Kai knew he was an Alpha "this has nothing to do with you so leave" the same Beta from before said as the handsome man stepped in front of the Kai and the pup's.

Once in front of Kai and the pup's the handsome man looked over Kai and upon seeing that there were no injuries on him breathed out a sigh a relief.

As the handsome man's purple eye's roamed over his body Kai felt his body become hotter under the handsome man's heated stare 'Why does he smell so good?' Kai thought to himself as the handsome man turned around and stared at the rogue's.

Kai and looked at the handsome man's back as he stared at the rogue's "how can he be so beautiful" Kai heard the handsome man mumble causing Kai's face to turn a shade of crimson.

The handsome man shook his head before he spoke "well I'm making it my business" after the handsome man said this a wall out of Earth surrounded the the pup's protecting them from the rogue's.

Kai watched as the handsome man charged at the group of rogue's with amazing speed and began slaughtering them like they were nothing but surprisingly Kai wasn't afraid he was just curious about who the mysterious man was and why he saved him.
