I call, "Wait, Florentine, please-" She doesn't look back, only holds up a hand. "I don't have the energy tonight. I will talk to you tomorrow. Good night." She turns around the corner. Should I go after her, make her listen to my apology? Henri walks past me, "It's better not to force her to listen to what you have to say. I've already irritated her enough. Wait until the morning when she's ready to talk." I whisper my thanks and he leaves himself. Grace and I stand alone, halfway through the doorway of the dining room. "We should go back to bed," Grace says. I agree and we walk back to our bedroom. "I should've listened to you, and we wouldn't be in this mess." Grace shrugs, "Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't matter. At least you will get some type of an explanation tomorrow morning."
