I focused on my breath sitting on the bathroom floor. My head resting against the door, listening to the rapid current of the shower hitting hard against the floor. It was fighting a battle with it and I was in it waiting to see who would give up first. Who I was between the floor and the shower.
I breathed out again.
I could do it.
I could survive.
It was nothing new.
It was just a nightmare again.
It couldn't harm me.
I would tell them the truth soon.
They would forgive me.
They loved me.
They will forgive me.
I just needed a bit more time.
