*Beatrice's POV*
"Wake up beautiful." I felt lips touch my temple. I smiled, my eyes still closed, and giggled.
"Rise and shine, babygirl. It's a grand new day." soft hands roll me onto my back and caress my face. My eyes flutter open and attempt to adjust to the sunlight pouring in through the window.
"My Goddess, you are so amazing." My eyes focus to see Flinn's ice blue eyes staring back at me and his lips curled into a grin.
"And you, my husband, are so handsome." I say as I pull his face down to mine.
My eyes shoot open. I can feel my heartbeat slowing as my body remembers it was a dream. If I didnt have the pictures, I'd swear our entire relationship was a dream. My eyes start to wet a little, so I roll out of bed and head to the shower.
I had decided to fly out within a few days of talking to Stevenson. If there was a team out there that could help me find the people responsible for Flinn's murder, I was going to get to them. One way or another.
After quickly washing my hair and brushing my teeth, I throw on my black leggings and tshirt and head for the field. I started training with the wolves every morning when I came to the pack. I needed every ounce of strength and skill I could manage if I wanted to get my revenge.
Training came and went, I was still full of energy and needing to burn it. I opted to jog. All the wolves here knew me and most paid no mind to me. I had a few friends besides Stevenson and his Alpha, Robert Gale. But I mostly kept to myself and my mission.
I ran until my legs were burning like hell fire, and stopped to breathe. All the leads i had pursued up until now had been dead ends. Either cronies who worked for the big guys or people who were simply victims themselves. They last cronie I encountered had damn near gotten the best of me. But he underestimated this "tiny human".
At 5'3" and 145lbs I was small in stature but made up for it with strength and agility. My naturally fire red hair complimented my moss green eyes. I had tattoos covering both my arms and some of my legs, most of it being tattoos Flinn did. My body was toned and healthy, but well fed. Some of the unmated wolves had made their shot but I declined. I wasnt sure I'd ever be able to love again after Flinn.
As my heartbeat finally evened out and my breathing steadied, I walked back to the pack house. My flight to Tennessee was tomorrow morning; Stevenson had arranged a meeting with the Alpha for me and his assistant had booked my hotel for me. All I needed now was luck.

*Seth's POV*
"Beta Stevenson is on the phone for you, sir." my assistant said through the intercom on my desk. Even at the office, I still had Alpha duties.
"Thank you, Lindsey. Please put him through." I replied. My phone beeped and I picked up the receiver.
"Beta Stevenson."
"Alpha Haight. I have a favor to ask of you and your teams."
"Oh?" I hardly ever got calls from Redwood Pack, let alone about favors from my trackers and hunters. "I'm listening."
"I have a friend who's looking for some help on a case. She's human but she's very close to me and lives in our pack house. I know it's a long shot but I was wondering if you could provide some assistance? Shes been working on this for 5 years with no headway besides a few low level omegas."
A human tracking werewolves? And a female at that. It was unheard of. What on earth could she be after?
"Sounds like quite the conundrum, Stevenson. I'll meet with her, I cant promise I'll be able to help but I will look over the case with her and my teams." I owed him after he helped the rescue mission to get my Gammas mate.
"Thank you so much, Alpha! I'll book her flight and hotel. She really needs closure on this case." He sounded sad and almost worried. "Its very important to her."
We exchanged pleasantries and hung up the phone. I rubbed my face with my hands. I was a sucker for people needing help. My wolf was pacing circles in my head.
What's your deal, Gage?
Something about this human. Something strange.
He blocked me off. I sat with my brow furrowed. He never blocked me off like that, I wasnt sure if i should take it as a warning sign or not.

Once I had both my tracking and hunting teams in my office, I sat down. Everyone was looking at me expectantly; I never bring them all in to my office unless it's big. I decided to break the ice and get it out there.
"We have a human coming to meet with us in 3 days." I said. Murmurs filled the room and a few shocked gasps. I let the room quiet again before speaking.
"She is a good friend of the Beta of Redwood Pack in Utah. She even lives in their pack house. He said she has a case shes been working for 5 years and needs a little help so I said we would meet and see what we can do."
Everyone exchanged confused looks. My beta Felix was the first to speak.
"Is that all the info you have on this human? Shes good friends with Beta Stevenson, that's all we have to go off of?"
I nodded, "I owe him a favor from our rescue mission for Dana. And if he trusts her enough for her to live on pack lands, then so do I."
They all looked at each other and nodded in agreement. They trusted Stevenson as much as I did.
"So are we all the be present for this meeting or?" Dana asked. She was always the one to address the elephant in the room.
"No, I will have Felix and Patrick with me, if it goes further than the initial meeting then we will have a full debriefing."
After I dismissed everyone, Felix and Patrick hung back to talk to me.
"Are we sure there isnt something else going on?" Felix asked after the door closed. He was always the cautious and careful one.
"I cant be sure but i cant imagine that Stevenson would send a crazed human to our doorstep. Hes not one to trust humans but he trusts this one." I replied.
"It must be a big case, Alpha. Especially if she's spent 5 years on it." Patrick interjected.
"Yes, Stevenson sounded worried on the phone. Said it was VERY important to her."
We all looked at each other, wondering what sort of mess we got ourselves into.
