He wordlessly moved across the room and handed the peas to me. “For your nose.”
Surprised, I took it from him and pressed it on the inflamed area, almost moaning at the cool sensation.
His arms crossed over his chest and he continued to stare at me until I reared my head up and snapped. “What do you want?”
A nerve ticked in Keagan’s jaw and he let out a string of curses before gritting his teeth. “Even when you look like this, it stil…” He caught himself before he could complete his statement and instead said. “I’ll make sure the kids apologize to you.”
He was gone before I could respond, leaving me staring at the space he was occupying seconds ago. A sigh rose to my lips and I turned my eyes to my phone that just vibrated in my grasp.
