My eyes widened as I saw Emma, sporting a wide smile. She was entirely dolled up, wearing a stunning purple sleeveless dress with a daring slit that revealed her thighs. She was undeniably attractive, yet it was strange how my stomach twisted in irritation as I looked at her.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her. My brows creased.
The sparkle in her eyes faded. "I received the invitation late, so I decided to come and keep you company, husband. I asked Hector for directions," she said, offering Hector—who had been sitting beside me all this time—a smile. Hector returned the greeting with a stiff nod.
