No one POV Meanwhile, the sisters at the orphanage kept a close watch on Khaim, making sure he wouldn’t get another chance to hurt Phayu nor Rain. Thanks to their vigilance, their days became peaceful and filled with happiness. Yet, Khaim wouldn’t let their peaceful days last long From the corner, Khaim sat alone, glaring at Phayu, silently enduring the punishment for what he had done. But Khaim wasn’t the type to stay quiet for long. His eyes burned with revenge — and he wouldn’t be satisfied until he got it. His fist clenched tightly, a furious grin spreading across his face. "You won't get away with this." --- Pete paced around anxiously, a deep concern etched on his face. He couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling caused by his missing son's absence. “Love,” Vegas murmured, his voice calm and soothing, carrying a quiet tenderness that eased every bit of tension. "Could you please settle down for a moment?" Her voice cracked, barely above a whisper. Tears welled in her eyes as she took a shaky breath. "I can't. I just... can't." Without hesitation, Vegas stepped forward and wrapped his arms around his husband, his touch warm and grounding — a quiet attempt to soothe the crushing mix of guilt, sorrow, and emotional exhaustion. “He’ll come back… I’ll make sure of it,” he said softly, his head gently leaning against his husband’s shoulder. "Papa, Dada?" their youngest peeked in as the door slowly opened, sensing the heavy mood between them. “Lunch is ready. Everyone’s already there… just waiting for you.” His tone was soft, as if trying not to disturb something tender. "We’ll be there—just give us a minute,” his dad, Vegas, said in a warm, gentle tone. Yim as Rome Saifah Theerapanyakul -5 years old -youngest twin brother of Venice. -The child chosen to be the next heir (of minor) after Venice went missing. Saifah POV I am Rome Saifah Theerapanyakul, the youngest son of Vegas and Pete Theerapanyakul. At the age of five, I was already being trained by my uncles and parents, and alongside my cousin, Phoenix. Together, we experienced just how tough and cruel the training was—but I understood it was for our own good. After all, the mafia world is far more dangerous and extreme than any training session. And even now, we’re still under training until we’re responsible and strong enough to face the real world. Still, I think it would be a lot more fun if my eldest brother were here. Yes—I have an older brother. His name is Venice Theerapanyakul, my twin brother, to be exact. Sadly, he went missing shortly after we we're born. That’s the reason why my parents are still grieving his loss—especially Papa. He’s been longing for my brother’s presence for a very long time, and it hurts to see him like that. Even though Dad tries to comfort him, the pain remains. I’m looking forward to meeting you, Phi. All of us... "Sai, everyone’s already downstairs! We’re the only ones they’re waiting for," said Phoenix, my cousin. He’s one year older than me. Phoenix Theerapanyakul -Middle child of Kinn and Porsche -6 years old I reply with a nod and head downstairs with him. As we go down, I see everyone already seated in their usual spots. The married couples always sit next to each other, so all of us cousins always end up sitting together, too. No One POV As the family was busy chattering, Porsche’s eyes spotted the boys coming down the stairs, which caused the chatter to stop. “There you are! We’ve been waiting for you two,” he called out, raising his voice slightly with a smile as he continued to glance their way. "What took u so long" Kinn adds on. “Where's Pete and Vegas?” Tankhun asked, his eyes wandering around in search of them, though he remained seated in his chair. Saifah sighed a little heavily and shook his head. “They’ll be here any minute,” he replied with a forced smile to his uncle. The atmosphere grew quiet and heavy, and no one dared to break it. Everyone glanced around, seeking comfort in their family. "Everything will be alright,” Porchay said with a bright smile, trying to comfort Saifah. “We could lend a hand, if you don’t mind.” “Don’t hesitate to ask for our help,” he said in a gentle, reassuring tone, his voice full of quiet support. "Khab" --- "Rain" "Hm?" Rain hummed, hugging his knees to his chest, but thoughtful pose. After a long pause, he turned to phayu, voice soft and filled with quiet wonder. "If ever you get the chance to leave the orphanage one day... what would you want to do?" His pouting lips shifted to the side as his gaze searched for an answer. With a long hum, he finally replied, "I want to have a family.". Rain lowered his head, then slowly lifted it again, His eyes tried to resist from crying. "To know what a parent's love feels like." He let out a bright, lovely smile, his eyes shutting gently as warmth filled his expression. But Phayu knew—behind that glow, Rain was only masking the pain. "Will they give me joy or pain? love or hate " "Rain..." "What about you? What's your wish?" Rain asked, his head leaning forward and tilting with curiosity. "If I could wish for anything, it would be for your wish to become true," Phayu whispered, smiling gently as he held Rain’s gaze. Rain’s lips parted in surprise at Phayu’s words. When he realized he’d been staring for so long, he blinked, chuckled awkwardly, and turned his gaze elsewhere, cheeks slightly warm. He cleared his throat after a long, awkward silence. "I-I... uh... I’ll go get us some food. I think I’m hungry," he said, voice stumbling as he stood up a little too quickly. Rain POV Once I was out of P'Phayu's sight, my cheeks burned even hotter. I quickly crouched down, hiding my flustered face behind my hands. ''Why am I blushing? Why am I blushing?!'' I muttered, voice rising with each word, caught between embarrassment and panic. I pulled my hands away from my face and squeezed my cheeks instead. "Why?" I groaned, still burning with embarrassment. "Why am I acting like this? Do I have a fever or something?" He placed a hand on his forehead, checking his temperature as his thoughts spiraled. "What in the name of Buddha is happening to me?" I muttered to myself, clearly confused—to the point that I felt like pulling my own hair out. I was lost in my thoughts, still caught up in questioning myself, when I was suddenly pulled back to reality by a shadow behind me—bigger, wider... and he wasn’t alone. I crawled back, trembling. I didn’t even notice I had been holding my breath the whole time because of the fear, anxiety, and the intense aura he was giving off. I couldn’t take my eyes off him because of it. But despite my fear, my voice slipped out: “Why are you here?” It was clear in my tone how scared I was. They walk toward me as he cracks his knuckles, an evil smirk on his face. They’re definitely planning something. I’m sure of it. "Take this as a warning, Rain." he said, his voice low and threatening. "Take him!” he growled, slashing his hand through the air like a blade. "Anyone! Help me!” my inner voice screamed, louder than I ever thought it could.
