Mathilda’s POV I woke up when the plane began to shake from turbulence. The sky outside was dark and heavy, flashes of lightning slicing through the clouds. My heart started to race — I hated this kind of weather. I glanced at my watch. Two in the afternoon. Apparently, I’d been asleep for quite a while. When I looked over at Fredric and Paula, both seemed to be asleep too — no whispering, no movement between them. The flight was still long, and boredom was creeping in. Maybe I’d just go back to sleep. I slipped my eye mask back on and let the darkness pull me under again.
