Fight Through the Dead

Eva's POV:-

"Do I even need an elaboration on what happened here?" Abelia asked pulling away from the tomb block of the Milisao's family. Stiff as ice men who were just downright weird, I wondered if any distant relative was still alive

"Finally!!. Well it was exhilarating....as if breaking free from an old dusty coffin buried somewhere deep in the cemetery" I stood up.

"You killed all of them? Uh........why are these two alive and looking at me creepily."

"That is exactly why you are here this lovely morning my friend. After we are done here I have to ruin Raaky's slumber party so lets get to work." I concluded with a goofy smile. At least that's what Abelia's expression said.

"Well aren't you all rainbows and sunshine today." she walked towards the boys inspecting them. "I've never seen someone soaked in blood looking so content."

"Can you blame a victorious woman?" I shrugged

"Anyway I need you to wipe the memory of the young man in the ice. From when they got here to now and I also need you to take a look at the stone I can't seem to get a hold of it." She nodded and walked towards Nero.

"I cant do a complete wipe out. It's still going to be a little sketchy but I guess it will work for about 85%." she spoke before starting.

"Sure I just need him to forget the part where I killed his fellow mates, the more confusing the better. Oh and Nero I saved you only because you have a family be a nice young man and take care of them." I nodded to Abelia and she started her spell on a screaming and thrashing against the ice Nero.

Once she was done and Nero was knocked out I repeated the opening spell for the hatch. Time was running out I needed to work faster. It was still dark but soon the sun would be out and about.

We went inside, Trevor following behind. Nero would be knocked out until morning so we left him there. He sure is going to have one hell of a cold when he wakes up in a puddle of ice cold water.

Once inside Abelia studied the words and symbols on walls and the stand carefully.

"Eva the symbols on the walls and words here talk about two people, who are the only ones that can pick the stone and join it to the other pieces. If I'm right they are the ones who were the first benders ever. The supernatural species started from them and it says here it will end with them. This is all I can say with the translation you provided and Enochian symbols I can understand, and as for the note below I need time to study them only then I can provide any info. But let me try one thing, wait" she put the note pad with the translation aside.

"When I motion, you pull all your elements and flow them at the shield like you did at the door but only the ones you can create with your mind not the ones you can easily pick from the room." I nodded and she started murmuring her spell an then motioned me. I retrieved all my elements and flowed them at the shield which soon distorted and broke.

"The shield was just one thing I am not sure if you can still pick the stone up" I pulled my sleeve up and moved my hand to the stone but the stone protected itself pulling all elements as a shield around it like I did while fighting the creature protecting the stone.

"I cannot touch it can I? Abelia nodded.

"Only the first benders can pick it up, if I'm right and together nobody can pull a 'I'm superman on it' " she joked at my miserable expense.

"But they would be dead by now and I have to prove a point to the king of this city."

Abelia rubbed her temple and thats when I saw some blood dripping out of her nose.

"Abe-"

"I'm okay it's just I have been doing a lot of spells that take a lot of magic. More than I can channel on my own without Nick. I'll be fine." she spoke and only now I could see she seemed really worn out.

"Thankyou for the help Abelia. Now lets get back home you should rest we'll figure this out later." Abelia is my only chance at wining she has to find new power channels. I have to do something.

"And yes they have been dead for a thousand years now but we'll find a way." She answered before walking out.

I have to get him here, there is nothing more I can do at least nothing I know of. My task was to make the stone accessible, it is now. He can see it at least without dying at the hands of the monster. He just can't touch it. Now I don't even need to find a way to keep the stone out of being used by Raaky in anyway. Now it's words that will help me walk out successfully.

"Alright Trevor time to meet your lord Raaky. Come on. Abelia you get back to the mansion I'll meet you there. I dont have time, I have to get Raaky here before my time limit." It was already five in the morning though still the sky was dark I think it would rain today.

We all walked out and then Trevor and Abelia helped me stacking the bodies in my trunk looking green and about to throw up. Then Abelia left for the Whitmore mansion soon after.

I left Nero there because he was of no use to me now, better left behind.

When we reached the Alesina mansion it was still extremely quiet. I left Trevor in my car and walked inside the mansion where I met Raaky yesterday. Smack in the middle of the cauldron.

"RAAKY ALESINA!!!! Come out come out where ever you are." this asshole tried to kill me on a fair and square task that was spell bound I suppose claiming my blood right to this place and the ownership of the city should be a piece of cake now. The council members have spell bound ownership of the city which is why Raaky cannot remove them and now I'll have mine.

"Come out Alesina"!!! I shouted once more when a set of groaning and grunting noises came from somewhere upstairs and around the red brick building. It was as cold as a cold snap in here.

"The ones in their graves are also alert now who the f**k is so stupidly daring enough to waltz in here like that!!" sleepy yet a pompous d**k. "Good God! You seemed to have slaughtered my whole city love."

A voice came again but this time Raaky himself emerged on the second floor in just sweat pants. It took all my will power to not swoon and stare at him like a hungry hyena.

Did he really had to be so handsome. His sweats were hanging dangerously low giving the view of a v leading below.

After him quiet a few heads surfaced from all around the cauldron with wide eyes at my appearance.

Regaining my composure I pulled some air beneath me only to show him I used the element air and travelled his level with my hidden powers. It took less effort if I used them.

Opening the bag in my hand I turned it upside down and the head of one of his men fell to the ground making a sickening gruesome noise while the blood splashed on the floor. Squeals and gasps erupted around while jaws held open.

"Remember him? I stood up for a fair and square task now I don't know what you're definition of that is but mine says it was violated." I pointed my index finger at him while he gawked at me in shock.

"The rest of your men or whatever parts I could retrieve of them are in the trunk of my car. I'll have them set up right on that table there. Early morning breakfast." I pointed to a black circular table beneath me on the left side. "I never thought you would underestimate me. I do like to believe that you didn't by sending your men but children too. Really? Do I really look that much like a damsel in distress?"

"What about the thing that protected the stone castle. How are you still alive?" his shocked face made me smirk the widest I have ever.

"Well like I gave the solution before. I killed the thing and I am standing in front of you aren't I? Which by the way no thanks to you." He was now regaining his composure.

"Where is the stone?" He inquired.

"You really don't care that five of your men died today?" I was surprised at his disregard, not even a flinch. " Anyway thats what I am here about. I need you to come with me if you want the stone." He narrowed his color changing eyes at me; another mystery unresolved.

"Do not look at me like that. Unlike you I play fair and will not lead you into a trap or whatever it is your mind is formulating." He smirked at that, not sure why.

"Okay I'll come with you. Give me 5 minutes." he walked back inside a room, probably his. I could only get a glimpse but someone was on his bed.

I lowered myself to the ground and walked outside to work on my plan to free Trevor. I pilled up all the bodies on the table like I said and sat on a chair cross-legged playing candy crush on my phone waiting for him. It was addictive. The people were still standing around gawking at me like I was some psychopath. I did look like one because of the bodies.

"Hey you! dont throw those bodies here lord Raaky wont like it." one of them spoke when I was down to the last body, headless might I add. He was cute, dark brown hair, blue eyes and a built body, he was shirtless too might I add.

"If I were you I'd keep my head out of this pretty boy. I'd hate to repeat my moves again. My authenticity wont look good." I twisted my fist which was at my side and hidden from all. The man instantly started fidgeting and people were giving weird looks to him.

Then I realized I was using my powers out of the elemental circle, inside Raaky's mansion and soon my real self would give it's presence if I didn't stop. Dammit what is wrong with me!!!

"Keep yourself in check Sa!" My soul screamed for the first time in months. My blood ran cold the moment she did.

I flinched at her tone. Bloody hell what is wrong with her now! There was a restlessness in her voice that I haven't heard in my whole life.

But then again what happened a few years a go has made her cut off from me, I have to force her powers through to use. It did not go unnoticed that today she had been completely in control of me while fighting the monster I didn't even need to force her.

Raaky walked out pulling a black jacket over his dark blue shirt and dragging my attention to him. He held two different cloth's in his hands.

"Here take this its a wet towel and this is a hood....umm.......your shirt is burnt on the side." he tossed them to me while I looked at him dumbfound. He was being nice wow!

"Aww come on you didn't have to put the leftover on my table literally. I thought you were speaking metaphorically." he exclaimed walking towards me.

"I am a......woman of my word? Besides I kill anyone who is threat to my life, be thankful you're not one of them. Lets go." I stood up and walked past him to the gate. Wiping my hands and face while pulling the hood on and Damn! It smelled like heaven.

"Oh and one more thing, next time you send someone to kill me or lure me in a trap- be 110% sure I'm dead or else if maybe somehow I'm not able to kill you-this city will bathe in blood. By the way I practically slaughtered them with a butter knife. Speaking metaphorically now."

I smirked and walked out, my heeled boots and his shoes were the only sound in the air except the waking birds. All the people had already gone to their rooms now, and the sky was lining up with the first light of the morning.

He opened the door to my car and sat in while I did the same. He turned once and then took a double take. "What in God's name is he doing here? Didn't you kill all of them." Trevor sat in the back seat, though passed out with a punch from me. He looked hilarious while I did that.

That thought made me chuckle while Raaky looked at me like I grew two heads.

"Aren't you taking your men's death way too easily. And as for your men; I love leaving a trail of bodies. Keeps my rep up don't you think. Three are inside one is back at the cemetery and this one is here, we'll talk about this one when we are done with all this. Okay?" He nodded narrowing his eyes at me like he does all the time waiting for me to mess up.

"I was completely sure before I walked through your door. Nobody can move it unless you raise the dead benders from their graves." I walked around impatiently while Raaky was still reeling from all the shocks he had had since the moment he walked in the cemetery. He looked tired from lack of sleep also frustrated due to all this, intently staring at the stone.

He pulled his phone out and dialed bringing it near his ear. "Clark get Deanna down at the cemetery now." he hummed a few times then hung up.

"Go ahead bring any person you want. This stone is guarded by Enochian spells. Angelic spells have zero loop holes, unless the conditions this spell has are fulfilled, that stone is not coming off." I spoke again and now he narrowed his eyes at me finally giving me at least one look since we got here.

A stone stool pulled up from the ground and I sat on it feeling dizzy with all things going on but fell on it more like, the nauseousness hitting me like a train now.

The wound on my back was nasty and hadn't healed a bit. I saw something inside the blade that creature hit me with. I'm hoping it wasn't poison. That would be a bummer right now.

"Woa! hey you okay??" Raaky strode near me but I stopped him right there putting my hand up. "I'm okay just dizzy."

"Come lets go outside till Clark gets here. Its a closed space here might make you claustrophobic" I snorted at the irony of this situation. He had sent people to kill me just a few hours earlier.

"Yeah well I am way past that. Neither dead nor dying, I spent a year in a room smaller than a car locked up undergrou-" oh my God! Was I really talking about my past to him. HIM!!!

He stared at me like I was some freak and then his eyes turned soft, colours dancing in them, before going blank but I was sure to catch on.

"Let's get out of here this place is creepy" I stood up and quickly walked out while he still stared at me blankly. Quiet uneasing if you ask me.

When we came outside Nero started waking up. "Rise and shine honey."

I spoke and sat on a bench nearby cross-legged back straight which hurt but useless Infront of habit. All thanks to my Teacher and my sweet mother.

I do not remember a time after those lessons with Zuhera I had sat down without my back straight, chin held up and cross-legged, even while I sleep, just the buzz of a fly near my ear put me in armed mode.

"Alive. Family. Take care." Nero mumbled frantically and stood up fighting invisible opponents like a tormented caged animal.

"What did you do to him. He looks like he came back from hell." Raaky asked me walking towards Nero, I shrugged in response not really feeling upto it.

"YOU!!!! What did you do to me." Nero backed up from me. "Lord she is a monster. You crazy b***h! you messed up with my mind. What did you do" I dont know what happened but in milliseconds I was standing near Nero.

I choked him pulling him off his feet above the ground. I wanted to break his neck and something dangerous was running down my back; a feeling or whatever it was. It was compelling me.

"Call me that one more time and this pretty little head of yours wont stay longer than necessary on your overly worked out body." my hand only tightened around his neck but before I could snap his neck..................she spoke.

She screamed. "Control yourself or this town will not see another dawn because of you Sa!!!!" Nero dropped to the ground and backed away frantically in horror. I flinched at her tone, she had never been so angry.

She has never been so angry with me since.........something was really wrong with me. That blade was definetly laced with something.

I turned away from both the men quickly as I saw my hands lighting up in fire of orange yellow blue and now it started turning green, water circling around. My eyes burned letting me know they started glowing.

I took deep breaths to calm myself. "Evangelic?"

This voice.....it calmed me a bit.... "Eva are you okay?" again it calmed me and now the fire was out.

Upon turning I saw Raaky standing a few feet from me with partly concern and partly terror in his eyes. His voice was soothing me...? why.....? I quickly recovered and brushed the matter away.

"I let you slip twice now! and this is how you repay me!!Call me crazy one more time and I.WILL.kill.you." Nero backed away with sheer terror in his eyes.

"Nero meet me at the mansion tonight. You may leave now." Raaky ordered his dog with out breaking eye contact with me like I would kill Nero if he moved, he left nodding in Raaky's direction.

"You can falsh.......?" was the first thing out of his mouth. He looked confused.

"I believe you have eyes." I replied rather dismissively but he only raised his brow in amusement.

So much for secrecy. Bullocks!

"Oh I am just curious because you seem to show new abilities by the hour." he narrowed his eyes at me.

"Darling there are so many abilities I have that you have no idea of." I put on a cocky tone not knowing why I was speaking like this. My words came out pretty suggestive which by the way I did not mean. He raised his brows in shock but got distracted by the voices behind him before he could answer me.

Clark came in my view in a button down white shirt and dark colored slacks. The woman beside him wearing a black maxi down to her toes, blonde hair reaching mid back. She had light grey eyes exactly like you see of spirits in horror movies. She looked fragile and beautiful.

They both were completely surprised to see me here. Guess Raaky had already sent the invitations of celebrating my death.

"Raaky she was supposed to be dead." I raised my brows at her disgusted look at me, her hateful tone. What the hell did I do to her.

"She is really impressive I know." Raaky spoke and now Deanna walked towards Raaky kissing him on his lips. Her kiss made me feel uncomfortable I dont know what it was but I didn't like it. Made me feel like puking.

"She should be dead I told you to send warriors of circle one. She has no place here." What a b***h! I didn't even speak a word to her and she wants me dead too.

"Deanna-" Raaky started but I cut him off.

"Raaky keep your witch w***e in control. You know I'm not in the mood, Nero was a good example was he not?" Raaky sort of face palmed himself while Deanna looked taken aback.

"Deanna listen to m-" he was cut off when she stepped forward and screamed.

"My brother!! what did you do to him?" right now, not killing Nero seemed like a big mistake.

She brought her hand up and twisted it. A sudden pain shot throughout me but its intensity was bareable, it really didn't do me any damage but the cut on my back aided to this magic and I felt it stronger.

"Where is my brother?!!"

Bloody hell!

Fuck whoever she was to Raaky I'd break her bones one by one. The audacity on this woman. "Dont strain your self honey."

I concentrated on the air inside her lungs and slowly started pulling it out.

She started fidgeting and seemed choking. "Raaky what is up with your tamed. You haven't trained them well." I looked at Raaky who seemed angry.

"Evangelic let us talk. There is no need for violence." Clark spoke now for the first time since he has been standing here.

"Let her go at once Eva. I am warning you." Raaky growled with warning in his tone. I let her go planning to not give Raaky any more shocks.

"I am not here to play any of your shitty games Raaky. If any more of your minions disrespect me one more time they will do so with their last breath." I pointed my other finger at Raaky. Damn sure this city does not know how to welcome people.

I angled my head back to Deanna and let her go. "As for you witch b***h! Your brother is alive. Though I had my fun with him too" I smirked as I walked to her.

"Raaky why is she wearing your jacket." she sure is a pain in the ass. No wonder how Raaky keeps his calm with her.

"Her shirt got burned at the side." he answered sounding clipped off. He was not having a good morning.

"Who cares if she burned with it. We do not help people who walk in like they own the place." she spat at him looking at me hatefully. Seriously!!! Talk about clingy.

"It's just a Goddamn jacket Anna it's okay." he replied sounding frustrated. I wanted to puke at how she seemed to order him. HIM! Raaky Alesina the worlds most feared first class bender.

"I have other things to do so if you're done with the high school prom queen drama, I'd like to be over with this." I spoke walking away and towards the hatch.

"Nalvage dee Nalvage dee......" I rechanted the spell and soon the hatch opened. I was the first to walk in.

Raaky was behind me and Deanna beside him while a bored looking Clark behind them. Deanna draped her arm around Raaky like she owned him, giving me looks that said "mine". With all due respect keep him!

Raaky walked in but something happened and Deanna could not walk inside. She tried to again but nothing, she stumbled back. Clark tried but he also could not walk in.

"She put a boundary spell here Raaky." she pointed me accusingly.

"I would have loved to do so but I didn't do this. Go ahead if you are CAPABLE enough, see for yourself I'm sure a little spell wont hurt." I was getting tired of her accusations.

Raaky nodded at her and she began the spell. "If you think you will take that stone I suggest you rethink." Raaky spoke to me with a murderous look in his eyes. Oh come on!

"Why is everyone trying to kill people in this city?" Well this could have never gotten better. Only me and him can walk in here, I can now try to use spells on the stone to get it off the stand and in safe keeping.

But Trevor and Abelia walked in here less than an hour. Why are these two not allowed in. Thank God Raaky does not know about how Abelia and Trevor could come in. I can figure this out later. I suppose things do happen for a reason. I must keep Trevor out of Raaky's reach all the more now.

When Deanna was done she seemed to look disappointed I knew she found nothing. I smirked knowingly at her. "The spell is Enochian and she didn't put it. It's ancient and I cannot remove it" she stated sounding like a depressed kid.

I walked out knowing now nothing could be done. "Where do you think you're going?"

Raaky walked outside behind me he was about to stop me taking hold of my arm, but I instantly backed away before he could touch me. The hurt was clear in his eyes "I-I dont like being..." I stammered suddenly guilty. Why?

"Where are you going?" He asked me suddenly his face hardening. Yeah right he is an ass why was I apologizing.

"I'm going home so I can shower and get ready for meeting you and your council to talk about the stone. I still have to tell you what it signifies and bla bla bla" I gestured to myself and the situation.

"I still dont have the stone." he tried weakly.Why is he always trying to stop me from going anywhere.

"I am not stupid Raaky I know what the challenge was. You wanted me to actually try and fail at killing the creature. Last I checked I killed that thing. Look around you" I gestured to the cemetery and the opened hatch to the castle.

"With the stone I present to you a big castle. By all means," I pointed to the hatch "walk in, pick the stone stand and decorate your mansion with it for all I care. I was not given the task to get your bitches inside the castle. No offense to you Clark. You can now go on and do what you want with it."

Clark muttered a "none taken" with a snicker due to Deanna's fuming face and as shock painted Raaky's.

"I'll meet you at your Mansion at 1pm. See you later Clark." I turned and walked out while he stared at me shocked yet again.
