I should have spent the flight from Raleigh to LaGuardia polishing up my speech. That would have been the responsible thing to do. Instead, I stared out the window and tried to stay awake. I should have known getting up so early was going to wreck my plans for the rest of the day. I guess it didn"t matter since Hestia destroyed my plans for the day anyway. I tried not to think about my phone call with her. I tried not to think about what this latest rejection meant for me. I would still be alone, but now, I was forced to suffer all the feelings that went with that loneliness for eternity.
