“Tyler?” mom’s eyes widened with the scene she was witnessing and rushed towards Maxine to stop her from falling backward when I harshly pushed her away from me. “What are you doing?”
“Mom, I’m fine…” Maxine whispered and looked down. I scoffed at her drama, pretending like she was the victim here.
“Oh, are you two back together?” mom asked, her eyes glistening with excitement.
