"Come now child, Queen Raiden waits."
The man says.
I looked at Catherine nervously.
She gave me an awkward smile.
"My mother is probably going to scold you."
Catherine waved me goodbye.
He gestured to me outside the room.
"Allow me to escort you to the throne room."
The man says, scratching his neck.
His voice sounds raspy.
I caught a glimpse of his face.
He has a bandage on his chin that nearly covers the bottom of his face.
The old man turned away from my gaze once, his notice.
"Be quiet though the council is there having a meeting. We should reach there after it is concluded. Meaning you won't be able to see the council members."
We walked throughout the headquarters.
Past the science wing, and training halls.
I reminisce when I was graduating from where those kids are now.
"You Faron, I already know who you are. A student of Cerith yet you are incapable of finishing your work," the man says.
"How do you know?"
I asked.
The man stops walking, turning to me, he kneels to my ear and whispers.
"Everyone knows Faron, Eric already reported Thorne before you."
The man stands up looking down on me.
"I'm heavily disappointed in you, Faron, my friend Cerith talked so highly of your skills. Yet you still haven't flipped your switch."
The man says, as we make contact, his eyes are pure white.
He's blind.
"Let's go now. I don't want to be late, I have something to do, Faron."
The man says as we begin walking again.
We approached the throne room after the meeting approached, seeing the table being moved out of the way.
This is not my first time being in the throne room.
"Despite there being a council for this place, they all listen to her requests. Because they are reasonable people, that is just how the Canix are."
The man says, and he thinks that is just how they are, and Thorne is taking advantage of that.
Thorne takes a sip from her goblet.
Her back faces us.
Thorne has long shiny red hair, with bright green eyes.
She is always wearing black dresses.
Her presence is more unsettling than usual. I can never read her anyway.
But I can feel her barrier, along with the other councilmen, they are all powerful.
All of their presences are felt throughout this part of the headquarters.
"Your highness."
I said, kneeling before her.
She sighs, sitting on her throne.
"Ah Faron, come let me explain to you what it is you are here to accomplish."
Thorne says, as she takes another sip from her goblet.
"You have always been a part of an assassins' team, who infiltrate families or clans. To take them down, eliminate them completely. You are also assigned in teams to take down rogues when considered a threat."
Thorne says.
"You were supposed to hunt down two rogues today. Max and Jericho are both considered a threat when they start trading information on The Court. For their own gains and ambitions. Everything they knew about us."
She took another sip.
"But one of those targets is still free now; he has become a bigger threat than we anticipated. Eric has already briefed me. Before you got here."
"So I'll update you about the man who attacked my daughter. His name is Nathaniel Malakai. There is a possibility they are looking for Catherine and our organization."
Thorne says, putting the goblet on her throne's armrest.
"I'll allow you to redeem yourself, Faron. Cerith spoke very highly of you and your team. So you have been acknowledged together, that is. But what about alone?"
Thorne says, throwing me a card.
I look at it.
It's an ID, the name on it is Nathaniel Henry.
The man's picture is the same guy from the bar.
"Yes, Eric pickpocketed him at the last moment. Apparently, he was a formidable foe. So we took into consideration how he was involved with your first encounter. He is after Jericho as well. He might get to him before us. But his real name is Nathaniel Malakai like I said before."
Thorne takes another sip from her glass, sitting on her throne.
"These Malakais are a threat to our town. They have caused a tragedy that happened over forty years ago here. They are responsible for many deaths. Including being successful at enslaving the human race for a period of time. You know the story, they are monsters. We will do what's necessary to exterminate them all. So we start at their fantasy home. They believe they're safe here but they are not. I will take them and make them my greatest weapons. If I don't kill them in the process."
Thorne has a devious smile.
"I've already assembled an assault team. I want you to go with them. Make sure the mission goes according to plan. You are now dismissed, Faron."
Thorne says, not interested in me or anything I have to say after this briefing.
I sighed, walking out of her throne room, heading towards the garage.
The assault team are dressed like random thugs who don't look like them.
They would be warriors of Ohme.
They also carry assault rifles.
"Are you Faron?"
One of the men asked with his muffled voice.
"Yes, I'm ready to move when you guys are."
I said.
"Let's move then!"
One of them shouts, pounding the van.
We got inside the van, navigating through Ciphia at night.
We arrive at the apartment complex Nathan lives in.
Parking behind the building.
The team gets out of the van.
I also get out of the van, leaping onto the stairs on the side.
Looking from vantage points from across the same room as Nathans.
The assault team enters from the back door.
Making their way up to the room.
I get a view of the room.
There is a kid and a woman. Her hair is brown, she wears a green shirt and jeans.
They shouted at her to get down.
They approach her closer, aiming at her.
She punches one into the kitchen, sending him flying.
She grabs one of the other members, slinging him against the wall.
She kicks one of them through the door and they shoot recklessly; she finally falls down.
They all begin to shoot at her.
The woman finally falls to her knees.
But one of the men smacks her with the butt of his weapon, knocking her unconscious.
That woman was just another brute.
I see another female with blonde hair, getting ready to confront the assault team, sensing mana rising from within her.
She has a dangerous aura.
I can feel it all the way over here.
I can't let her intervene, she will slow them down. I can't allow that.
Making my way to the other side of her apartment sprinting, I leaped through the window of her apartment before she was able to walk out.
She's alerted on guard.
"Who the hell are you!?"
She asks.
