Janice’s POV
He put a nurse's headband on my head, used black colour pencil on my eyebrows and pink paint on my cheeks. “Little niss? Speak!” he said with a huge smile on his face. “If you don’t speak, you won’t get any candy.” I glared at him with tears flowing down my cheeks. “You should smile, not cry. You need to be graceful and subdued.” When I didn’t do anything he said “Okay! You may leave. Let’s kiss goodbye.” He came closer and closer to my lips.
I got up startled. “s**t! It was a dream nissy, it was a dream. Calm down!” I said to myself.
“It’s your turn to have nightmares, Steven.”
I overslept, got dressed in a hurry and went to the ice rink. I had only two classes today in the afternoon. Now I could relax for the whole morning and see hot boys play hockey.
I kept my bag on the bench and made myself comfortable.
“Janice.”
“You’re here. Everyone come over here first.” I said to everybody on the ice rink.
“Your ice rink is so professional.” I nodded.
“Let me introduce him to everyone here. This is my and the hockey team’s new assistant.”
“I am not your personal assistant?” He said, confused.
“What’s mine is everyone else’s right?” I said grinning. He stared at me with wide eyes.
“When we were little, all of my things were yours. I’m only this generous because I learned from the best.” I said.
“Oh right! In the future everyone give your hockey sticks and helmets to Steven to wipe.” He was still staring at me clueless.
“All right now. Hurry up and go train” I said to everybody there.
I turned towards him and saw he was holding skates.
“Why did you bring your skates?” I asked him.
“Can’t we skate for free?” he said grinning.
“Yeah we can! But they still have to train.”
“I know. I can skate when they are done.” I nodded.
“But, why are you here?” he said with a strange expression on his face.
“I just come here to relax. Seeing everybody skate makes me feel lighthearted.” I said staring at my shoes. When I looked up he was staring at me intensely.
“I’m hungry. Buy me food first.”
“Okay, what do you want to eat?” he said smiling as if he was not staring at me like he wants to strip me right here.
“You should note it down in a notebook.”
“I can remember it.” He said proudly.
“Okay! Coriander, loofah, green peas, bitter melon, meatballs.”
“Okay.”
“I don’t eat all these.” I said.
“What!” he said with his mouth open.
“Three meat dishes, two vegetable dishes. After getting food, deliver it to the campus gym.” I said putting a poker face to avoid myself from grinning.
He was still staring at me with his mouth wide open as if i said something he didn’t understand.
“What? Oh right I saw your class schedule, you don’t have any classes before afternoon so after delivering food you will help me train.”
“You have my class schedule?” he said.
“Fifteen minutes.” I said and went on my way without waiting for his reaction.
I went to the campus gym and waited for him. He came running as if somebody was chasing him. HUH! THE REVENGE BEGINS.
“Here, eat” he kept the boxes in front of me.
“Did your brain run away?” I said, When I saw all the things I said not bring in the boxes.
“I’ll pick it out for you.”
He picked everything out and passed the boxes to me.
“Here” he said with an annoyed expression.
I stared at him with all seriousness
“What? Is food there on my face?”He said.
“I just want to say you forgot the soup.”
He sighed and picked up my bottle and passed it to me
“Drink water.” He said displeased at me.
“Plain water has no flavors. I don’t like drinking it. You still have time if you go now.” I said with a smirk.
“You have still got 9 minutes.” I said looking at my watch.
He went running. I laughed to myself.
He came with the soup after two minutes HE’S FAST!
“There’s a box of junk. Take it out in a bit. There are also a few boxes of pucks. They’ll need them in training this afternoon. Move them all out onto the ice rink.” I said pointing to the “FEW” boxes. The few meant a lot.
“How can I pick them all by myself?” he said, staring at the boxes expressionless.
“You’re a built man. That’s your problem. Not mine” he huffed and started picking the boxes.
He had already picked up half of the boxes when I finished my food.
“Hurry up.” I said, smirking. He stared at me dumbfounded.
“You know what you do when you get tired?”I asked him while picking at the leftover food in the box.
“What?”
“Change your hands and move the boxes quickly.” I said going out of the gym without giving him a second look.
