Chapter 8 Sunday was cold and snowy—and that was just in Denver. By the time they arrived in Georgetown the temperature was well below freezing and light snow was falling. None of that seemed to deter the mass of people who were wandering the town’s streets, the carolers outside one of the shops, or the musicians on the bandstand. Brian and Conley didn’t mind it either, as they’d dressed for the weather. They wandered from booth to booth and into the shops, commenting on what each one had to offer. “Are you planning on having a Christmas tree?” Conley asked at one point while looking at various ornaments. “I hadn’t really thought about it, but sure, why not?” Of course with Brian’s reply, Conley began to buy rather than look. While he did, Brian wandered to another part of the shop.
