CHAPTER EIGHTEEN A knock came from the door and Boyle stepped inside. “My Lord, His Lordship wishes to speak with you about tonight’s dinner.” “If you will excuse me,” Grau apologized as he bowed his head. “Please make yourselves comfortable until I return.” He strolled out and Boyle followed, shutting the door behind them. I strolled over to the window and looked out on the black night. A faint wind moved the trees far below us and stirred the shadows.
