A few days earlier...
"Kae, we don't even know who we're looking for. How do you expect us to find a single person among the countless supernatural beings that roam this earth?" I asked, feeling frustrated and skeptical.
Kae's expression turned stern. "You know as well as I do how dangerous someone with abilities can be. I have my sources, and I will seek justice for what was done by Maicah."
I couldn't help but let out a deep sigh. The memories of Maicah's deadly rampage years ago still lingered in my mind, but it was Kae's behaviour that had me concerned now. He seemed determined to take matters into his own hands, regardless of the consequences.
What Kae didn't know was that Adina, whom he loved from afar, was secretly conversing with humans about the supernatural world.
