A Few Words about Love

My life hasn’t been easy. I was born sometime, somewhere. I don’t know when or where. I’ve never known my mother or my father. I grew up at the Central Valley Children’s Home, one of ten boys in my dorm room. I was different because I was bigger than any of the rest of them. When I went to school, I was always a team captain in sports. I became a jock at an early age. I have always had friends who treat me okay. What was missing my whole life was love.
I used to think love was a myth because it never found me at the home, on the field, or with my friends. But maybe I was wrong. Maybe I had to find it.
