"Good. Now, if you'll allow me..."
From his hand, a rune card appeared. He then activated it...with just a snap?
"There. You can get out now."
"Eh?"
He might've done something with that card of his.
"Let's just trust him, okay? We need to cooperate with him or else we can't escape here. This is a chance we need to grab."
"O-okay."
One of them persuaded to make a move. They slowly crept towards the iron bars and then their hands just phased through it. The chains bound to their limbs aren't attached too. They're in a state of shock.
Honestly, I'm surprised as well.
"Wha--?"
"There you have it. I'm bad at explaining during these sort of situation so I'll make this simple. Now, follow me and don't ever make a single sound or we'll be found out."
Everybody nodded in response.
He then used another card with the same process he did earlier. I've never seen nor heard a person that could possibly do it 'til now. Just where did my sister find this individual.
He's pretty shady to me.
"...ah yeah! I've read about that s**t! Ahahaha!"
"I know right?"
!?
Some students are approaching!
The four captives were shaking like leaves. I tried to use a rune card but Mister Yukti grabbed my hand gently and shook his head.
Are you telling me not to do anything!? Are you stupid!?
"It went like...huh? Oi, they're gone!"
"Huh? What do you mean gone--what the!?"
"Who's in charge of looking at them?"
"It's that shitty girl who tried to free them! Why did they allow her to continue living!? If I were the new chairman, I would've killed her on the spot during that time."
"We need to notify them!"
"Yes! I'm contacting the ones in the broadcast room!"
They ran away, not noticing us at all.
All of us except Mister Yukti dropped to the ground and let out a sigh of relief.
"Well, you guys broke my rune card's effect by sighing with your voice accompanying it but at least you saw my cards' capabilities now. This time let's get the real chairman out of here too. Now, please follow my request not to let out a single sound. Oh, Miss Snow could you walk beside me? I need you for directions since you know where the person in question is."
He used his rune card again and we ventured outside, unnoticed by everyone currently looking for us.

"What did you say!? Those secretaries escaped!? How could that be!?"
I received a call from one of the students
My hunch is right.
I grind my teeth, furious of what had happened.
That shouldn't have happened.
There's absolutely no way.
Did that brat made another escape plan with those secretaries? I should've killed her when she did it once. Now, my good mood after killing that evasive pipsqueak instantly shattered.
"This time you white-haired dipshit. I'm gonna kill you and capture the other four."
The broadcast team immediately spread the word, with fabrication in the announcement, of course. Heh, I trained those guys thoroughly, and I like the way they fabricate it this time.
I couldn't afford to have the neighbors know about my schemes after all.
"You lot! You heard the broadcast. Scatter! Find them!"
"Yes boss!"
Now, all I have to do is wait for the prey to be hunted and be brought to me.
"Kukuku... FWAHAHAAHAHAHA!"
•••
"Is this the place?"
"Yes. I'm sure of it."
We're now in the front of a small shed located at the southernmost part of the school grounds (I refer to the area where the main building faces is the north). Inside is a staircase leading to an underground room. According to Miss Snow, the real chairman should be here.
I asked her to accompany me. We left the other four at the entrance. I asked them once again to not to make a sound or else they might be seen and be captured once again. Thankfully, they listened and responded with a nod.
"By the way Miss Snow--"
"Snow."
"Huh?"
"Please drop the formalities. You can call me Snow."
"O-okay then, Snow. Are you alright? You seem to be wobbling."
"Ah, this...this is just a side effect of the medicine I drank earlier. It helps rejuvenate my body. In turn, my sense of balance would slightly be affected and feel a bit dizzy."
Hmm? Aren't those...
"...Pluga Medicine?"
"Eh? How did you know?"
"Ah, I just heard it in some rumors."
Pluga Medicine--while its side effect is annoying, its cheap price and effect is approved by the masses and were usually used in clinics.
This girl should've been lying on the bed, taking some rest.
Mmm, if I'm not mistaken, it should be in my [Receptacle] card--a rune card that allowed me to store anything aside from weapons, equipments, and of course, living beings. This is one of the only three Custom cards in my arsenal. Well, I did say Custom card but I made it for Leen and I. So there's only two of it available.
I'll give some to her just to make sure.
"[Receptacle]: Quell Laps"
The rune card appeared in front of me, which was then replaced by the bottle containing Quell Laps--a medicine with the finest quality--and catched it.
The reason why I have this is for the sake of me and Leen's health of course. I can't afford to be unprepared for anything that could possibly happen.
Leen also has a bottle of it.
"Here. Use it."
"Eh? But, isn't this Quell Laps, the most expensive medicine out there?"
"Just use it."
"But--"
"No buts."
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I always act awkwardly when conversing with a stranger...
I hope she won't get offended.

"Here. Use it."
"Eh? But, isn't this Quell Laps, the most expensive medicine out there?"
"Just use it."
"But--"
"No buts."
Eh? Ehhhhhh...
Is he mad or something?
Also, when did he got that? He doesn't have a backpack at all. His pockets aren't bulging earlier either. He did use a card...so it's either an Original or a Custom rune card.
"It's for your own good. Just chew one of it. Your sister asked me to help, and I can't afford to allow her see you in that wobbling state."
"O-okay. Understood."
He's right.
Pluga Medicine's side effect took a toll on my body, and just trying to fight against this drowsiness and the lack of sense of balance is tedious.
I chew one of these pinkish tablets.
Mmm...strawberry flavored?
"!?"
The side effects I experienced just vanished?
It's my first time using this medicine. It's unbelievably effective. No wonder it costs a lot of points.
If my memory serves me right, a bottle containing a hundred Quell Laps tablets costs 10000 points.
"Are you feeling better now?"
"Uh, yes! Thank you...uh, here."
I returned back the medicine but he told me to keep it. I got nervous! What if he'll put it as some form of debt and try to swindle my sister!?
In the end, however, all of my doubts was put onto hold after hearing his next statement.
"Don't take a step forward. Something's not right..."
Huh? The door to the chairman's cell is on sight, you know?
"What do you mean? I've been here many times, and I didn't anything peculiar."
"Wait for a moment. [Reveal]."
Another rune card?
Wait. What are those?
After he casted his card, some kind of invisible fog dissipates and revealed various traps laid on random spots near the doorstep.
"These traps weren't here before."
"The traps might be activated just now by the caster. We escaped and all, so they're probably taking measures to prevent further blunders on their part."
What do we do now?
