(Jessie’s POV) When Nick said he wanted me to train, I figured it would be like his self-defense classes. But noooo. This was far worse. He was throwing me around this warehouse like a d*mn frisbee! And what was worse was that he would toss me around in his human form and catch me in his wolf form. It was ridiculous. I felt like a limp, old rag every night when he would leave. Every day for the past three days we would train. Hard. And every night over dinner he would say, “Yah did good today, kiddo.” I would just scoff. We were slowly falling into a routine, Nick and I. It wasn’t a bad routine, but I still miss my old life. There were things I wanted to do that I’ll never be able to do now, like go to college and have a family. But mostly I just miss my parents. So much it hurts
