(Jessie’s POV)
I was still pacing the floor when Nick finally got back an hour later. My dad walked in the house, took one look at me, and snarled, “Who am I killing, Princess?”
I laughed a little at that before looking at Nick, “You had visitors.” I said and we went on to explain what happened while they were gone. “F*kin’ h*ll. What the ever living f*ck are they doing here?” Nick growled and both my brows shot up in surprise, “You mean, you know those j*rks?”
“Yeah, I kn…” Nick got cut off in mid-word because there was a loud knock at our door. Nick sighed heavily before motioning to us to settle down as he said, “It’s okay. I got this.” Then he went over to the door, mentally braced himself, and opened it.
