We stayed in the library for hours looking over those books. I found them fascinating. They told a story, for sure.
Apparently, the Romans believed that Mars was a real being. According to their writings, he came to Earth right around the dawn of man with several other beings. I was thinking UFOs and stuff, but Jake said they were literally gods.
I didn’t believe in that sort of thing, so I just agreed to disagree. Jake just chuckled at me when I said that.
As we read on, we found that the being they called Mars came down to Earth and became embroiled in a war. Apparently, the war was between these aliens and the supernatural beings of this world. Mars fought on the side of the supers along with a few other aliens.
