(Jessie’s POV)
I rested on the plane but never slept. The in-flight meal was awful. It was loaded down with peppers, which I don’t like, and the smell of them permeated the air so badly I thought I was gonna be sick.
When we finally landed in Lansing, Michigan, I went into the bathroom and splashed some cool water on my face while the guys got the only suitcase we had with us. When I came out, they were already waiting for me. Nick handed me a bottle of sprite and I gave him a grateful smile as I opened it and took a sip.
About five minutes later, we were in line to go through the metal detectors. I made sure I went first. Nick was behind me and then this cute little family of four, then the guys.
