CHAPTER NINE Mabel had grown accustomed to her garden lately as the presence of Nesta had brought back forgotten joys to her life. She had begun once again to enjoy the beauty of nature and the serenity of peace. She had developed a new attitude of looking past her many troubles and reaching out to life and she had Nesta to thank for that. So, she set up this new tradition of strolling around her garden and forcing herself to be present in the moment. She studied the birds, admired the flowers, looked down as lizards scurried past around her feet and drew in from the free wind.
