chapter 4

Alexdrinas POV

I took my sweet time walking into the village I was dreading bumping into Sacha and her band of goons last thing I needed was another grilling about how weird I was and how ugly I am. "stop that now drina you are not ugly my wolf chides those mean girls are just jealous of us"

"yes maybe so zoey but the can never find out what we are we will be shifting tonight and leaving tomorrow" my heart clenched at the thought of having to leave my parents behind they were all that I have all that has kept me here but knowing I am different I cannot put them into danger from me or potentially people who want to hurt me.

As I was walking down the dirt track I picked up a rustling sound thanks to my wolf hearing it didn't talk long to figure out where the sound was coming from or to pick up the smell. the smell of body oudor and cheap aftershave and cigarettes hits my nostrils and a pit of dread seeps into my stomach it was elijah the local tough guy or so he thought jumps out at me with his 2 cronies Pete and Dan. "Ha made you jump drina where are you going on this fine day?" Eli asks me but I chose to ignore and walk away but he pushes me further "oi do not ignore me woman your soon to be 18 and what a fine bride you would be to" this thought makes physically heave I turn to him with my perfectly arched eyebrow raised and reply "is that so Eli? shame Sacha doesn't know that when I saw you balls deep in her last night?" Eli's face gets redder by the second and then puffs up his chest which makes him look ridiculous "you know I've always liked you drina but your so prim and proper you won't put out for me so I'll make you so you have no choice you'll be ruined for your husband if I can't have you no one will"

there is was the pit in my stomach zoey was about to try take over but I shoved her down as best I could and ran with my werewolf speed they couldn't keep up. I heard a pissed off Eli screaming "I'll have one day drina you mark my words" I ignored him and continued into the village.

as I approach zoey in my head "are you okay? you should of let me out I'd of torn him apart"

"yes zoey thats the kind of thing that would have us hunted and killed eli is well liked here I'm just the local weirdo remember"

I carried on my way to the local grocery store for mama when I heard them the giggling of school girls oh no not these lot to not today I mentally sighed. but there was something different about how she spoke and giggled maybe if I glanced up they wouldn't notice.

there in my line of sight stood the 2 brauny men I'd seen on the moors and much to my horror Sacha shouted "there's the little weirdo now!" I blanched as I felt 3 pairs of eyes on my sachas with deep hatred the man with blonde hair and brown eyes that seemed kind and warm and his the dark haired man with piercing green eyes that seem to search my very soul I felt a pull towards him. he was crossing the street after another hateful glare from Sacha she stalked away. panic coursing through me as to what this man wanted and why I felt so strange towards him I ran totally forgetting my groceries for mama. "drina we need to go back I recognise him but I don't know why we need to go back" zoey begged but I decided to mind block her and go hide somewhere away from hateful people and strange men.
