My blind date with Damian wasn't that good, I was cursing.
Damian didn't expect such an outburst from me, to think that I was going to accept just because he looked cool.
He had better think twice. It was unbelievable how my dad knew him and more shocking how my Dad could sell me because of the company...
Everything about my Dad. was simply business, he didn't consider my feelings or have me at hand.
My wobbling feet couldn't contain the embarrassment I felt when I tried to storm out of the lounge.
My left heel broke and I felt like a log of wood under the graceful eyes of the people present, I wished I could disappear the next minute, I gathered my shoes and bag in my hands and fled the place.
My face was wrinkled with displeasure, the make-up couldn't conceal how damaged my face was with anger, I was already boiling, ready to explode.
"Dad!!" I screamed, I abandoned my things on the floor with careless abandon.
My mum ran up to me, seeing my face.
"What happened darling, did he do anything to you?" She looked worried.
"Where's Dad" I roared coldly
"He's in the bedroom, what is wrong?" she probed
I glared at her intently
"You knew I was going to meet Damian right?"
"Well, it's a rare privilege, we wanted you to find out, it was our way of making you feel better"
"Really?" I scoffed a rare privilege indeed.
I passed her without another word, in search of my Dad.
I entered the bedroom, but he wasn't there, I went straight to his study, I knew I would find him there. There he was working on his computer. I started spilling.
"Dad, why didn't you tell me it was Damian" I probed, trying to calm myself down.
" I just wanted you to find out for yourself, it was supposed to be a blind date" he answered indifferently.
"Calm down honey, stop getting worked up" my mum added, she had followed me to the study after I left her.
"So you knew about this mom, why didn't you give me a heads-up at least, you both didn't inform me earlier and told me just at the dime minute and now you're advising me to calm down?
Do I mean anything to you both?
I felt like I was betrayed, I felt like they were inconsiderate of my feelings.
I could feel my eyes burning, tears were beginning to well up.
My mom started feeling sorry for me, she touched my chin and put my hair behind my ears so she could see my face better.
"You don't have to say that baby, we love you, we didn't mean to scare you, Don't you like Damian? Did he scare you?" She was looking into my eyes.
"I don't like Damian, I'm not seeing him ever again" I protested and stamped my feet.
My father looked at me with dull eyes, ready to flip my hopes down.
"I'm sorry darling, we had to save the company from dying, it was part of the agreement we signed with him, you don't have a choice, he wants you and we need the company, besides he's merging it with his, so you have an upper hand if you marry, think twice"
His words shattered me.
I was going to live the rest of my life with someone I didn't want.
I looked at my mom with a heavy heart.
"Mom? Is Dad saying the truth?"
"You have to marry Damian, he's right" she added
I was flabbergasted. Heavy sorrow filled my heart.

I was sitting on one of our couches enjoying my leisure when my phone cried. I took a peep at it and smiled. it was a message from Damian.
I will be coming to pick you up in a few minutes, let's go somewhere. Get dressed and look good for me, Love ya.
I was grinning from ear to ear, who knew Damian could be this sweet, compared to his old self?
Damian didn't look like what I first saw, he was checking up on me, taking me out, treating me with so much care like an egg, He was all over me.
Tho, I was still bitter at my dad, the business was doing well.
The company was booming with so much life my dad got busier and busier than he was before.
I was grateful that I could be useful to my parents even tho they didn't let me join in the affairs of the company just yet.
Damian will be here soon.
I grin at myself as I stare into the mirror. I look so good in my light make-up, a short rose-halter dress, and an elegant low messy bun, some trade of hair falling on my face in light waves.
I moved outside to see his Rolls-Royce, he welcomed me with a smile and placed a kiss on my forehead.
"How's my baby doing" he beamed
"I'm just good as always" I smiled sweetly.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"We're going to see my mom, she just came back into the country. She would be surprised to see you.
She has always wanted to see me have someone by my side someday."
He was looking so emotional, I bet his mum must be very nice, I couldn't ignore the tenderness in his eyes as he spoke about his mom.
Just the same way, he would be tender when talking to me.
We reached his house and stepped inside, I sat on the sofa in nervousness as I waited to see his mum, Damian had gone inside to fetch her.
I sat on the sofa, nervous as he proceeded to fetch his mother.
He came alongside with her into the living room.
I don't know what they discussed, her expression didn't look so good.
She sized me up with her eyes in a disapproving look.
"Mum, here's my gift to you, Meet Maya Sandford, my soon-to-be wife."
"Hello ma, nice to meet you"I stretched my hands to greet her.
"You didn't teach her etiquette, son? Does she not know?"
She focused her attention on him ignoring me completely, What etiquettes? I was perplexed, Damian never told me this before I looked to Damian for help.
"I will do that, mum" Damian defended firmly.
"Alright then, follow me Damian" she left slightly irritated at my presence.
I was curious trying to understand what went wrong.
"I was hearing stifles at first, it turned to an argument, and the next thing I heard loudly was shocking.
"I don't think I like her Damian
