Elijah was feeling so bad but there was clearly nothing that he could do at this point. Natalie had made her decision not to come and as far as he was hurt by her actions, he had to try and forget about her. His brother is back, something that he had always wanted and he should honestly be focusing on that, at least for tonight.
He took deep breaths and tried to convince himself to calm down. He then wiped away his tears and decided not to sweat on what Natalie had done to him. That was beyond his control. What is in his control is controlling what he felt at this exact moment.
He had just decided to forget about her for now, this is not a finality. He was very sure that he was not over her. He loved her terribly. That cannot go away just because she made one mistake of not showing up.
