Rashel sensed they weren’t alone anymore. She heard a sharp movement; it was swift. She might have missed it if her senses weren’t already sharpened. It was subtle, barely more than a whisper, but it was enough to alert her to another presence. She heard a loud thud and figured it was the sound of a body falling to the ground. She stood still for a moment, still in shock. She didn’t know if this person was a friend or foe. The rain slicked her hood, falling in steady curtains as she walked in the direction where she thought the body had fallen, and surely, a body was on the floor. Then she heard groaning. “Rashel?
