As Seth watched Jethro and Rashel retreat, he let out a low growl. Rashel’s ears perked up, waiting to detect any sign or sound of an attack as they moved. She was ready, just waiting, but Seth didn’t follow them. She felt it in her spine that this wasn’t an act of mercy. Seth wasn’t a man to let invaders go freely. Especially when it was another Alpha who had come into his territory to spill blood. This man had certainly let them go for other reasons. Reasons best known to him. And for good reason, she didn’t want to find out. When they came into view of the others, and it became obvious that they were retreating, Jethro’s pack abandoned the fight and followed their Alpha. As they retreated, Rashel noticed that Seth’s men didn’t follow them. Seth only stood at the corner of the house
