I can hardly stay still, anxiety eats at my insides and every second that passes, makes my heart beat faster till the point where it feels like it’s about to explode. I am unbelievably relieved that we're finally making headway, that we finally have a lead about the possible whereabouts of the kids, but still, the suspense and fear of what they must be going through causes an excruciating pain to course through me. I still when I feel Cardan’s hand on my knee, his touch grounding me, a warmth suffuses my chest that I can't put a name to, but it feel good. Suddenly I feel heady with emotion, as the tension drains from my body. When I look up at his face, he’s not looking at me, his gaze still trained on the road ahead.
