Cardan “Natalia?” I shout, trudging through the path, rapid on my feet. She screamed my name. But then she screamed someone else’s too. Fuck, Nat. Be okay. Please, be okay “Nat, where are you?” Spinning in a slow circle, my eyes alert, but I still l can’t find her. “Natalia!” “In here!” She calls back, her voice distant, like she’s in a tunnel. “Where?”
