All in all, it’s a pretty glorious day. After being badgered by the kids to take them to the playground, I’d finally caved in and taken them to out to play. Even though I’m certain they’re safe now. I’m still not sure I’m comfortable enough with taking them to the general playground. So I opted for something in between, I brought them to the much more private park.
Content to just watch the kids playing around, chasing after each other. Followed by strings of their carefree laughter. I sigh in contentment. I can almost see it. The life we can have. With them here, with their kind… and their dad. I worry my bottom lip with my teeth, as these thoughts flit across my mind.
