The said someone turned out to be Jeremy. They darted off from the classroom and were soon in the school grounds outside.
It was a beautiful place with a number of trees and benches. They went over to the secluded corner and Jeremy broke into the uncontrollable laughter.
Alain looked at him with a confused and somewhat cautious face. Jeremy plopped down onto the grass as he leaned onto the tree. After noticing Alain's expression he smiled and said:
"You should have seen your face when they surrounded you or when I pulled you out, gosh, that was priceless!"
Alain looked his peer up and down and plopped down onto the grass beside him. "I don't like crowds." He mumbled.
"Even a blind man would see that," Jeremy told him with a small smile.
"So friends?" He asked Alain smilingly.
"The only thing I know about you is your name," Alain told him with a raised eyebrow.
"So do I, so friends?" Jeremy asked once more his voice rather carefree.
"Sigh, why do I feel that you will be a pain in the ass?"
"Sorry man, I'm playing for another team." He said seriously as Alain looked at him with a blank face, "What a pity," and they both broke into the laugh.
"Nice to meet you friend," Alain smiled at him widely. Jeremy’s fist pumped the air as if he just won a jackpot. As for Alain he looked at his newly baked friend amused. It was a good start, he thought to himself.
Soon the bell rung and Jeremy got up with a groan. "What do you have now?”.
"Physics" Alain replied.
"Damn, then we are in for torture together!" He said as he casted a mask of horror onto his face.
Alain just smiled and said nothing.
"Hey, can you show me your schedule?" Jeremy asked.
Alain shrugged his shoulders and took out his schedule. Reading it Jeremy whistled,"Bro, we are destined to become buddies. Our schedules are basically identical!" He exclaimed.
Alain looked at him strangely, but he shook his head a little while later helplessly. They entered the class and took the empty seats in the rear.
The rest of the day was rather uneventful. Apart from the discovery that literature teacher is a b***h. She was audacious enough to demand him to cut his hair short and stop using nonexistent lenses. Oh, and to dye his hair back to a normal color too. This ended in Alain leaving her class without even trying to reason with her, of course.
So now he, Alain Wilson Pride, is sitting in the director's cabinet with the earlier mentioned b***h and an amused director who was watching him with a raised eyebrows.
Alain shrugged his shoulders at the man's questioning gaze. He watched the annoying b***h rumble about his disrespect and poor manners.
After half an hour of constant complaining, Alain looked at the woman in admiration. He just left the room after her unreasonable scolding of his appearance. How she managed to complain for whole 30 minutes without stopping was a mystery to him.
"What can you say in your defense?" Director asked Alain, successfully shutting up the teacher.
"She asked me to stop wearing lenses, to cut my hair short and dye it into a normal color and to stop making my skin look like a vampire's. Her words, not mine. You tell me what should I have done? I simply left her lesson without even trying to reason with her as it would only lead to nothing."
"You asked him to do all of this?" Director asked the woman somewhat shocked.
"I did, so what? His looks should at least resemble that of a normal student's! What kind of parents raised such a beast?" She coldly said as she looked at Alain in disgust.
Alain looked at the woman with a blank expression but his eyes were no longer indifferent. His red eyes were a boiling with rage. She could have talked about him whatever she wanted, but no one dared to touch his parents. Be it biological ones or the foster ones. He looked over at the director as he emotionlessly said:
"Director I'll let my parents deal with this woman and I will make sure to pursue her act of discrimination, as a teacher she ought to be a sensible person and know her boundaries!"
"Impudent, how do you dare to address me so disrespectfully!"
He didn't even pay attention to her.
"Students taunting and discriminating me can be blamed on their naivety and young age. She, however, is an adult and a teacher at that. Her discriminating me due to my appearance, which is a natural one. I neither wear lenses, nor do anything with the color of my hair and skin. So this is ridiculous, but that's still something I can tolerate as it can be blamed on her idiocy. However, disrespect towards my parents is not something I will ever tolerate." He said calmly but his eyes were frighteningly cold.
He then looked at the woman, "Miss you have gone far beyond my bottom line. Respect is mutual, so don't ask me to show you one, as you look at me as if I'm a mere trash!
You don't know me, neither do you know my biological parents who gave up their life but did not give up on me. Nor do you know my foster parents who dragged me out from the abyss. So do keep your words to yourself along with your narrow-minded, biased opinions!"
As he said that he bade his farewells to the director and left without waiting for an answer. After the door closed the woman was about to start complaining yet again but she was stopped with a wave of a hand.
"You are fired," Director said with an emotionless voice.
The woman turned deathly pale "W..what? W...why?"
"You are unqualified," Director said monotonously.
"Just because of him?! He is worthless!"
"Even professors of well-known universities respect his knowledge and admit their inferiority. You are fired."
She stomped her foot and left the room, humiliated.
"It seems that I need to change some things. Sigh, my dear nephew when will you return to resume your post here? It's too burdensome. That little guy, he said he will not cause trouble, Huh."
That was a rather unpleasant way to end the first school-day, Alain groaned as he raced his way home.
He wanted to listen to music so badly as he rushed along the road. It always helped him to calm his inner turmoil, but it was dangerous to do so while racing. This only agitated him even more. Realizing that his condition was getting more and more unstable Alain was startled.
Taking a deep breath he weighed his variants. If he continued with his current speed he'd need 5 more minutes to reach his house. Any faster and it would endanger him. Actually, even the speed he was using at that moment was extremely dangerous. One single pebble on the way and he'd go flying. If he is lucky enough he'll only break a limb or two. So he took a safer variant and followed the first available turn to leave the road and started slowing down rapidly.
He ended up in a rather nice and quiet park. Looking around he didn't see anyone nearby, so he let out a sigh of relief and sat down on the bench. As he did so he realized that his hands were shaking and he was feeling worse and worse with every passing second.
He did not have those attacks for quite a while already and this unnerved him even farther.
His breaths started getting shorter and shallower. Alarmed, he took out his mobile and called his pa. His hands were shaking so badly that he was barely able to hold the phone. Breathing was becoming more and more difficult. He felt as if someone was choking him, trying to break his neck. His lungs were burning. Tears were uncontrollably rolling down his pale cheeks. He put the phone on his ear pleading his pa to take the call faster.
