Chapter 5

1299 Words
After 3 minutes of Formula 1 they were already parked in garage. Josh quickly got down and took Alain into his hands. He motioned the man to follow him and entered his house. Hearing someone come in Alex peeped out from the kitchen smilingly. However, when he saw Alain’s state his smile disappeared instantly and was replaced by the intense worry instead. He rushed over and when he saw how strong was the attack Alain suffered this time he cursed silently. He ran off to take some medicine from the cabin. Josh meanwhile climbed the staircase and put the boy into his bed. The man had followed him all the way up there. Josh did not know whether that was because of his curiosity or worry. Soon Alex came into the room with medicine as well. It was quite a while since they had to give it to him last. Sighing Alex handed them over to Alain along with a cup of water. He took the meds and lay back down. He was utterly exhausted. Slowly his breathing got back to normal and his shivering stopped as well. He looked around once more before falling into a dreamless, peaceful sleep. Now that their boy was safe and sleeping soundly both men turned their attention towards the helper. The said man just raised an eyebrow at the sudden attention. After an hour long torturous interrogation of two overprotective dads the poor man was finally allowed to leave after being reassured that Alain was going to be okay. The man left their house with a rather stiff smile on his face. He felt like he survived a war. He was helpless, but still relieved to know that the pretty boy he tried to help out was going to be okay. He took out his phone. After catching taxi and telling the driver the address of his house he dialed his uncle. “Uncle I think I will end my little vacation a little earlier.“ “Hoo, good this means I will not have to deal with all those kids and teachers anymore, so when are you going to take your rightful post?” “Hmm, how about tomorrow?” “Ah, my dear nephew I love you so much, you are my angel!” “Anything interesting?” “Nothing much, the new student arrived. He is rather unique. Oh, and I fired Mandy.” “What! Why?” “She is unethical and lacks professionalism.” “Sigh, you know she's my girlfriend. She's gonna nag me till I let her back.” “I know but she has to learn a lesson. She can't behave the way she does. Just make her suffer a bit. By some miracle, maybe her attitude will improve.” “Okay, I'll keep in mind. See you later.” He opened the entrance door. Took of his coat, hanged it and went to the kitchen. He poured himself a cup of coffee. Took a shower half an hour later and crashed into his king-sized bed. Falling into a dreamless sleep soon after. Meanwhile, Alain was facing off his night terrors. In 90 percent out of 100, the medicine indeed worked properly and sent him into a dreamless and calm sleep, in the rest 10 percent, however he gets trapped in his nightmares with no ability to escape. Unfortunately it was that one out of 10 encounter that happened to him this time. No matter how much he screamed and resisted he was not able to escape the terrifying shackles that were binding him to the world of darkness filled with unimaginable pain and suffering. No matter who he yelled for help no one responded and then they started coming in, one after another, making him remember everything down to the miniscule details. He broke down. He was not able to fight anymore. He knew it was just a nightmare. Just a messed up clog of his memories, so he did not restrict his voice. He screamed, he cursed, he cried. He did not even try to resist. He knew it was all meaningless and vain. So he just endured, waiting for the chance to wake up, to escape from the vicious cycle that he was trapped in in his nightmares. After who knows how long, that chance finally appeared and Alain gripped onto it like on a dear life. He woke up. He finally woke up. Tears were running down his cheeks as he gasped. He was exhausted mentally and drained physically. He tiredly got up and checked the time. It was 7 am. Alain went into the shower stall and took a good long shower that helped him relax his muscles and sooth his mind. He opened the wardrobe and took black jeans and black jacket with the writing “undefeatable” on it and dressed up. Alain skillfully braided his hair without shortening its length. He pondered for a while and entered the side-room. It was a large white room with various musical instruments. He walked towards the grand piano. Looked over at the violin and flute, but his eyes stopped then he laid them on his favourite cello. It was white in color, with black vine-like pattern all over its body; which was exact replica of the pattern that was braided onto his skin like a tattoo. It was part of his. Part of who he was. He was not a human. He was different. He could not hate, could not kill, he could not lust like humans did. He was different, so different and he wanted the whole world to know. But he could not reveal it. He still wished to live. To be himself. He was terrified of the idea of what would they do if they knew about his existence. Humans were too unreasonable. Too scary when it came to the ones like him. No matter what they thought whether they revered him or loathed, they would still destroy his very being thoroughly. So he had to hide it. To hide who he really was. He gently caressed the body of the cello. Took it and put it into the black case. He went down to the kitchen and greeted his parents. They seemed to be rather surprised that he took his instrument with him. Their eyes betrayed their worry as well. Alain smiled at them reassuringly and left after taking his lunch. He took the keys of his favourite baby and went down to garage. It was white Lamborghini. Dream of countless people. He made the engine of this beast roar to life and headed over to school. When he parked, countless students were staring at his car with their jaws agape. Everyone looked at him in awe and curiosity as well as envy. He took out his cello and walked into the school building. Before he could enter his classroom he caught the eye of the bitchy literature teacher of his. He was rather surprised to see her in the school again and soon a frown appeared on his face. He shook his head and made a note to check his schedule and leave when he had literature. As he did so, he entered the classroom. He had biology first. He took the seat at the rear part of the classroom by the window and looked out. Students were rushing into the building, since they were running late. He caught the eye of his newly baked friend as well. When he saw him running over and skipping all the obstacles instead of walking around them, he couldn't help but smile. Soon the bell rang, and Jeremy entered just before the teacher. After bowing his head as the sign of apology he sat beside Alain.
