Kaelen POV "Calm down, Mother." I walk out of Naomi's room with my phone pressed to my ear. My bare feet are silent on the cold floor. I push open the door to my own room across the hall. The bed is unmade. My black shirt is still on the floor from last night. "Calm down, you say?" My mother's voice crackles through the phone. Sharp. Angry. "What are you turning into, Kaelen?"
