Volcanoes

My dream started off at Encore High. The bell had just rung for break so Rocksyn and I headed off to the cafeteria (as usual). 

We had just sat down when Sebastian and Taine called my name, pushing each other while trying to walk over to me. 

“What’s going on with you two?” I demanded as I ran over to them. 

Taine- “He isn’t what you think he is and he is a stalker for crying out loud!” 

Sebastian- “He f***s every girl he sees!” 

Taine- “I do not!” 

Sebastian- “I can prove it to her and you can’t.” 

Taine then punches Sebastian and they start physically fighting. 

“Stop it both of you!” I bellow and try to break up the fight. As I try to step between them Sebastian punches the side of my face and Taine, my stomach. 

It feels like I want to vomit, and I have a huge headache.

Taine- “Look what you f*****g did you motherfucker!” 

Sebastian- “Look what I did? Look what you did!” 

“Stop it both of you!” Rocksyn snaps as she rushes over to me, “Jane can you hear me?” 

I close my eyes and nod my head. Then sit down on the floor. The pain feels a bit better now. 

Sebastian- “I’ll get some water.” 

Taine- “I’ll get the nurse.” 

They shout then hurry off. 

“Those assholes, they’ll regret what they did to you.” Rocksyn remarks as she massages my head. 

“Where does it hurt?” A lady asks as she rushes over and kneels beside me. It’s the nurse.  

“Headache… vomit.” I manage to say. 

She hands me the glass of water Sebastian brought and gives me two pills. I swallow them done one by one and feel better. 

Taine- “Jane please listen to me. Don’t trust a word he says, all he wants is to play around with you!” 

Sebastian- “No Jane listen to me. He is the one who does stuff like that, not me.” 

“I believe neither of you,” I whisper hoping they won’t hear me. 

Sebastian- “Do you...” 

Taine- “choose me…” 

Sebastian- “or me?” 

They ask interrupting each other. 

“Who do you choose?” The nurse asks. 

“I…I…I don’t know,” I say on the verge of tears. 

Taine- “You do know Jane.” 

Sebastian- “Please answer us.” 

I open my mouth to reply but the dream fades away… 

I woke up quite early the next morning and walked into the kitchen to make coffee, then stopped by my gift bag from yesterday on the coffee table.

Next to it was a note that said: Forgot this yesterday.

I took out the lock and put it on top of the TV and put the key on the necklace I’m still wearing, and then went to get dressed.

This morning it’s quite a cold day so I wore a pair of black pants, a purple long sleeve, a black jacket and black boots.

Another weird thing about this town, one day it’s hot and the next it's cold.

I looked up at the grey sky and noticed it’s about to rain so I grabbed my umbrella on the way out.

On the way to school, it started raining. Where are Sebastian and his car when you need them?

I walked into school and headed to my locker shivering and found Rocksyn at hers.

“Thought you might need these,” She smiled as she handed over a purple pair of gloves and a scarf, “A cold front has hit, and the water makes it even colder.”

I put on the items and packed my bag. “What period do you have first?”

“Consumers and you?”

“Science.”

“I don’t know how you can survive in those classes.” Rocksyn sighs as we head towards the class.

I pull my tongue at her then ask, “Where were you yesterday after school?”

“Oh, I saw you walk away with Taine Mecer, so I thought he was giving you a lift home.”

“Well, he gave me something else actually…” I smiled.

“Really what?” She asked. So, I told her everything that happened with Taine and then with Sebastian.

Rocksyn just stared at me with her mouth open when I finished the story. She was about to say something when the bell rang, and we split up.

Three days later in Geography.

“Come, come hurry up and settle down.” Mr Hunt stated as the class began to fill.

Taine was the last one in. “You’re late.” Mr Hunt said to Taine.

“Sorry sir had to run an errand for Mr Gates, it won’t happen again,” Taine replied.

“It better not.” Mr Hunt added as Taine walked over to his seat next to me.

“Hey, baby.” He beamed as he sat down.

“Hi.” I replied, “We’re on page 81.”

He pulled out his books and moved closer to me. “Are we going to finish what started the other day?”

“No,” I replied looking straight ahead.

“It’s so attractive when you’re stubborn.” He smirked.

“Mr Mecer if you have something to say, would you please share it with the whole class?” Mr Hunt snapped.

“Sorry sir was just asking for the page number, but I have all my attention focused on you,” Taine replied, and a few people laughed.

Mr Hunt waited until they were silent and continued explaining.

“What page was it again?” He whispered.

“Page look it up.” I sarcastically replied, and he laughed.

“Sir please remind me what a line of latitude is,” Taine called out pretending to be listening. How does he get that right?

Mr Hunt smiled at the request and began explaining.

“Thanks a lot, Taine,” I whispered rolling my eyes.

He winked at me then put his hand on my thigh and started drawing circles again.

Before the end of the period, Mr Hunt handed out an assignment to do with a partner. Looks like I’ll be doing all the work cause guess who my partner is. Taine.

“So, can I come over after school to your place?” Taine smiled mischievously.

I was about to say No when he innocently added, “You know to finish this assignment as soon as possible.”

“Fine,” I replied as I walked out of the classroom.

During break in the cafeteria, Taine and the rest of the Rugby team walked over to our table carrying chairs.

“Just want to join you, fine ladies, today at break,” Taine remarked secretly winking at me. The table burst into giggles as the Rugby team sat around us and Taine sat next to me.

I just rolled my eyes and he put his hand once again on my thigh. Great soon the whole school will know that I have something going on with a player again if he keeps this up.

After school, I convinced Rocksyn to come over because of Taine. Both Sebastian and Taine walked over to us from their cars carrying an umbrella because it was still raining.

“I’ll take you home.” They both said at the same time then gave each other a dirty look.

“No thanks, I’m going with Rocksyn,” I replied as we ran to her car under the one umbrella.

“Wow, I’m so glad I’m coming home with you! This is going to be intense.” Rocksyn squealed as we pulled out of the parking lot.

Taine and Sebastian beat us to my apartment.

“Brrr its cold outside.” Rocksyn shivered as we walked inside.

“I have waffles with cream or syrup and hot chocolate if you guys want?” I offered, and everybody nodded.

“I’ll make them! Sebastian come help.” Rocksyn demanded.

I grabbed my laptop and went to sit on the couch next to Taine.

“What’s our topic?” Taine asked.

“Volcanoes, thankfully NOT lines of latitude.”

“It’s not my fault I forgot what they are.” He smirked.

“You can remember something from 8th grade but u can’t remember something from last year?”

“Somethings can just can’t forget, Jane.” Taine whispered.

I kept quiet and continued my research while Taine chose pictures to add to our poster.

“Are we done yet? Is the food done yet?” Taine nagged me for the 5th time in that half an hour.

I rolled my eyes at him as Sebastian came to sit next to me. Great now I’m squashed between two pigs!

Wait, rephrase, two extremely hot pigs.

The mood in the room dropped from calm and relaxing to awkward as f**k. From the corners of my eyes I saw Taine and Sebastian glaring daggers at each other.

I kept my head down and read the same website page over and over and over again.

“Wow, talk about awkward moments.” Rocksyn stated breaking the silence as she walked in with plates of waffles.

Once again, Sebastian waited for us girls to finish eating before he started, meanwhile Taine kept giving me the ‘he’s-crazy’ look.

“So, do I at least get a tour of the house?” Taine asked after we finally finished our assignment.

Sebastian and Rocksyn were deep in conversation about travelling the world so I turned back to Taine and smiled, “Sure.”

I showed him the kitchen, the bathroom and the laundry room.

“Last room of my grand tour, my bedroom.” I laughed as I walked in with Taine following close behind.

I heard the lock of the door click so I turned around to face Taine.

“I’ve been waiting all day to do this.” Taine smirked as he pulled me closer to him and kissed me. All common sense flew out the window and I deepened the kiss. He moaned picking me up so that I could wrap my legs around him.

He walked over to the bed and dropped me down.

“Jane, we need to talk.” Taine stated scratching his neck.

I pulled him closer to me so that our lips weren’t only a few centimetres apart, “Do u really want to talk right now?” I teased.

“I actually have something else in mind.” He smirked as I felt his warm breath on my lips, then he kissed me.

We made out for a while until I heard someone knock on the door. “Jane are you in there?” Sebastian asked.

“Shhhh.” I hushed as I held Taine’s head against my breast; I knew he would try to kiss me again.

Taine started sucking on my breast through my clothes as I heard Sebastian walk away.

“Taine stop it!” I laughed as I pushed him away.

“Mama feed me.” He wailed as I rolled my eyes at him.

We rolled over so that now I was sitting on top of him, “Now where’s your dada gone?” I joked.

Taine cleared his throat the replied, “Right here baby.”

“Should I feed the baby or see to u…?” I teased as I shifted so that I was sitting right where I needed to be.

“Me.” Taine quickly replied.

We made out once again and his hands started trailing beneath my shirt.

“Taine.” I said through breaths.

“Yes?” He said pulling away.

“You should go its getting late; Rocksyn and Sebastian are going to get suspicious."

“Who cares what they think?”

“Me, you i***t!” I stated pushing Taine away.

“At least I’m a sexy idiot.” He laughed.

“True.” I smiled back at him.

We climbed through the window and sneaked through the back gate to Taine’s car. Shady I know.

“See you tomorrow.” I remarked as I turned and walked away.

Taine grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him, crashing his mouth down onto mine.

“Now that’s a good bye kiss.” He smirked pulling away.

I straightened myself up before opening the door. Let’s hope nobody notices my swollen lips.

“No man, Dolphins scare me because…” I heard Rocksyn say as I opened the door.

“Where have you been?” Sebastian asked me, interrupting Rocksyn.

“Taine had to go home early but he didn’t want to stop talking about the, um assignment topic and I couldn’t just tell him to shut up.” I quickly lied.

“Yeah, Taine is known to be talkative.” Rocksyn added, seeing through my lie.

“Oh.” Sebastian mumbled

“I betta be getting home, Jane walk me out.” Rocksyn dictated.

I followed Rocksyn to her mom’s car.

“Jane, please for future references arrange your hook-up times with Taine when Sebastian is not around. Thankfully Sebastian believes every word that comes out your mouth.” She stated turning around to face me.

“Yes, I know.” I laughed and headed back into my apartment.
