Cracking open my eyes, the dusk greeted me through the windshield. My head was throbbing, and I felt so drained. An engine was running beneath me, the movement of the truck bumping every now and then further waking me from my sleep. How long was I out? Looking up I could see Kade's hands laying on the steering wheel in a relaxed state. His green eyes watchful as he drove. His gaze snapped to mine as I was admiring him ' You're awake! Thank the goddess, I wasn't sure how long you'd be out for. Kole passed out shortly after you, and let me tell you moving that mountain of a man is not easy.' His silky voice traveled into my mind.
