Chapter 2

Chapter 1. But I wanted to be normal!

Caiden Drake sat in his seat of the plane as it started its decent to the airport in Japan, the country his parents lived when he was born and he lived in until he was about 6 years old. As the plane landed he looked outside seeing the stars in the sky and a full moon he smiled thinking to himself 'finally a new start'. He smiled stepping off the plane into the cold night air, he pulled on his leather jacket and now left towards the exit of the airport. His parents after all of his begging and moving around with them had let him out of their clutches, he was going to be living on his own in an apartment at the Colden housing building.

Leaving the airport his next objective was to find the apartment building, he was told it was more like a hotel than anything. His parents were rich business owners and the Drake family was known all around the world. He however wasn't known to most, his parents kept him out of the lime light as he told them he wanted to be normal, so they let him be. This was to be his first time on his own and Caiden was so excited about making friends and living on his own, you see besides his parents being famous they were... what's a good word that wouldn't be mean eccentric.

Caiden grabbed his bags and placed them in a truck which already had most of his stuff, after placing them in the truck he smiled and told it to take off. He was going to be taking the train the rest of the way to the town of Kyokukou which is where he was born and where his parents lived when they did business in Japan. After his birth they settled into an apartment complex , this was where he was going to be living until the end of high school. Caiden finally found his way onto the train after about an hour.

Getting on the train Caiden felt something weird it was this pull toward one of the last train cars, as he moved it was like his body moved on its own and he now found himself on the last car of the train. As he sat down he saw her a beautiful young lady with white hair, she smiled and looked to him with her bright blue eyes which seemed to stare into his soul as he sat down. It was weird this cart was empty besides the two of them while all the other cars were full. Sitting down next to the girl he smiled, she was gorgeous and she kept starring at him. The train cars were different from a normal train as it was meant for long train rides.

The train had a narrow row which centered around roomed on both sides they were meant to fit four people each, the chairs fully reclined and went all the way down to be used as a bed. in the middle of the seats was a dinning table. The train also had workers who served food and gave pillows and blankets to passengers.

"Why hello there, my name is Davina and you are?" she asked politely.

Caiden tried to speak but couldn't something about her had him awestruck, he looked her up and down from head to toe, she had a small waist a decent bust and legs for days she was probably taller then him. At least this is what he figured.

"H...Hi." He was finally able to say.

"And your name is?" she asked giggling lightly seeing his awestruck look.

"oo...ooh yeah its umm... Caiden sorry I'm just a little nervous, new people and all." Caiden said trying to cover up his awkwardness

"Well don't be I'm not gonna bite, much." she said giggling a little after clamping her teeth.

"very funny, so what are you doing all the way back here?" Caiden asked.

"Well the train is full of weirdo's and I'm currently waiting for someone, my mother said id know him when I saw him" she said.

Caiden and Davina talked for a bit longer as the train headed to town, they had about 1 day to kill, as they talked Caiden seemed to ease up and she became a lot easier to talk to. They talked about everything from music to T.V to school and other things until she was getting sleepy and as they talked she ended up falling asleep. Her head lay on his shoulder as he slept as well, waking he felt a body on top of his and arms around him. Both his and her seats had been fully reclined and she had ended up on his seat with him, he blushed as his eyes opened. There she was face to face with Davina the tips of there noses were touching lightly as she slept soundly. Caiden was unsure what to do but he knew he didn't want to wake her, then he heard the knock on the door.

"Breakfast!" the woman said loudly turning the door knob slowly.

Caiden did not know what to do so he pretended to be asleep even though he was starving, as the woman walked in she laughed a little seeing the two teens sleeping as they were. Caiden was on his back and sleeping on his chest sideways and holding him tightly was Davina who slept soundly until the woman woke her as she closed the door. Davina woke up and immediately turned a scarlet red color but didn't let go just lay there a moment as Caiden fake slept. Caiden could no longer hold it in anymore and as she was trying to wake him his stomach rumbled and she laughed

"So you are awake." Davina said.

"Yeah, sorry I didn't want to wake you and then I just didn't want to move in front of the server in fear of questions." he said babbling

"Its fine I don't mind you were comfy." she said then bit him lightly.

"Why?" he asked

"For fake sleeping and not telling me you were awake, redemption if you will." she stated matter of factly.

"I'm sorry I was just... I didn't know what to do." he said, as he finished his sentence the train came to a stop.

"Now stopped at Kyokukou station." the intercom boomed.

"That's me." Caiden said grabbing his bag.

"What a coincidence me too." she said smiling following him off the train.

Getting off the train he took out a small note his mom gave him which showed some direction to get to the complex and his new apartment. Walking off he waved his goodbyes to Davina who smirked as she watched him go out of site she started to follow him, her mother was right she would know who she was looking for when she saw him or in this case slept on him.

"So he is the one." she said walking in his general direction.

The building was tall and stood at about 8 floors but it wasn't the only bigger building in the are which surprised Caiden as this was a smaller time mostly farms and some building in the center of town which reminded him more of a bigger city. it was like a city surrounded by farms and suburb houses.

It was around midday when Caiden finally got to his apartment complex and entering he saw her once again, it was Davina who entered behind him. Now this was way to much of a coincidence, she smiled at him and now walked up to him as he sat in a chair in the lobby.

"So this is weird right." she said.

"Yeah, do you live here." Caiden asked.

"You could say that, I was told I by my mom id know who I was looking for and now I know that person was you." Davina said smiling taking his hand.

"Huh?" Caiden said looking confused.

"Let me show you up stairs its the only way you will understand." as she said this, time seemed to stop except for them.

"Damn its already here." she stated grabbing his hand she dragged him outside the building.

"What's here? What's going on?" Caiden asked then he saw them these armored men looking things coming at them.

Davina smiled and kissed Caiden, as she did she grew 2 dog like ears on the top her head and a tail as well. Her eyes turned yellow and her nails grew into claws. Davina smiled as a weapon now materialized at her side, taking out the katana she starred down the armored men things that came at them. Her sword was swift and fast as she sped forward so the armored men looking things couldn't get near Caiden as she fought them, her sword cut them down quickly but she knew it wasn't over not until she found there boss and defeated it

"Stick close to me Caiden I will protect you." Davina said grabbing his hand and pulling him along.

Caiden still confused stuck close to Davina and touching his lips though to himself 'she kissed me but no that couldn't be, but why is this happening to me and what is happening to me I don't know but...' his mind was racing as they ran from corner to corner. She took out a few more groups until they now were at the playground.

"It's here." she stated sword out ready for anything.

Caiden was unsure what to think until 3 Rottweiler sized dragons appeared in the park, Davina once again stepped in front of him she was going to fight these thing but how and why. Davina smiled as she rushed the dragons who surrounded her like a pack of wild dogs, the first one jumped at her and she dodged nicely to have it hit the 2nd one which lunged at her. The third one however nicked her side as it landed on the other side of her, they were stronger than the one's she had fought before, much stronger. They once again rushed her but this time she was a bit more prepared her sword hit one of their sides but the other two ended up clawing her back and front ripping her clothes. Caiden could do nothing he was frozen in fear but he couldn't help but want to help her rushing towards her one of the dragons attacked him it lunged at him but Davina got in front of it and blocking the attack threw it towards the other two.

"Caiden believe in me." Davina said, as she said that Caiden looked at her then to the dragons he could do nothing but she could.

"I believe in you." Caiden said confidently.

Davina felt energized after he said that like she had just been shot with adrenaline and she smirked looking to the dragons, he sword now surrounded by energy which shot off the sword. She rushed them and as if by instinct she moved fluidly slicing the first one the lunged her in half and dodging the second then as the third came at her she cut it as a knife would butter. The third one lunged at her but Caiden jumped in the way taking the hit, though it wasn't fatal he fell unconscious. Davina raged and jumping over him cut off the last dragons head.

"Caiden." She said worried, picking him up she ran towards the apartment complex.

That night Caiden woke in a bed starring at a ceiling the stars shimmered and the moon shown into his room, then he turned and saw Davina sitting on the ground smiling at him she walked over.

"What happened, I had the weirdest dream." he said not really expecting an answer

"We got attacked I saved you" she said then kissed him, as she did her ears perked and her tail could now be seen wagging.

"So that did happen but..." Caiden was about to say something else but he was interrupted by Davina.

"This isn't the first time we have met Caiden, we met when we were really little. See" She said showing him a picture of them as little kids probably around 5, they were kissing in the picture.

"Our first kiss. It changed my life" Davina said.

"But how?" Caiden asked.

"The spirit told me it made us mates for life." she said blushing some.

"I am no one's mate." Caiden declared

"Yes you are my mate." she stated nonchalantly.

"No I'm not." he said

Yes you are my mate." she stated nonchalantly.

"NO I'M NOT!" he yelled finally getting irritated.

Yes you are my mate." she stated nonchalantly as if nothing he said was going to change her mind.

Caiden was unsure what to do and say now as it seemed nothing was gonna get through to her. Now here he was in his new apartment with out his parents and some strange girl he cant remember claiming to be his "mate". The silence was broken by Caiden's cellphone which was behind Davina, she picked it up and smiled hearing Caiden's mother on the other line.

"Yes hello Mrs. Drake, yes he is fine. We found the place alright, once again thank you for letting me stay here. Its your mom Caiden." Davina said joyfully then handed the phone to Caiden.

Caiden took the phone and started talking to his mom only to find out that Davina was going to be living with him, It was something their parents had agreed on and she was in charge.

"What you mean... but mom I'm a boy and she's a girl. I understand that but... fine okay. I love you." Caiden said then looked to Davina who smiled at him.

"So it looks like you will be staying here in the room across from mine." Caiden said.

"Well yes once I learned you were going to be moving back I knew you would need my protection. I begged my parents to come back and then they called your parents to speak about me living with you." Davina said giggling lightly she kissed his cheek again then got up to leave.

"I see, thank you." Caiden said with a sigh.

"Good night my mate, ill see you in the morning for school. Ill give you more information soon" she said then left the room.

"All I wanted was a normal life, this isn't very normal." Caiden said and sighed then went to sleep.

Caiden woke in a dream world, he was in what looked like space pitch black with bright stars and the sun was covered and looked purple. He felt something and he saw them 4 girls in kimonos all different colored ones, one was Davina she was in a black Kimono and had her katana by her side the others he couldn't make out but he could see their kimonos. The shortest girl was in a white Kimono, next to her was another girl in a light blue Kimono, and the last girl was in a red Kimono.

"Find them all and unlock your power young dragon!" the voice boomed.
