Chapter 4

Chapter: 3 The Crow, The Wolf, The Lion, and the Fox

Caiden opened the door Vix behind him, he was immediately bombarded by Davina who stood at the door arms folded and started yelling at him. Vix smiled and grabbing Caiden's hand kept close to him their bodies touching, this only seemed to make Davina even angrier.

"You come home late with out texting or even a call with some girl are you kidding me!" She screamed

"Let me explain please." Caiden started but Davina was not having it and tackled him.

"This is what you get." Davina said and now kissed him hard her hands scratching his arms.

"Ewww.. please get a room okay mutt." Vix said.

Davina sniffed the room now and now looked to Vix, she knew about her spirit but no she couldn't be. Getting defensive she got up and got Caiden behind her, looking to Vix she saw it now, the girl had a fox spirit which meant she had a contract with a master or maybe she was a wild spirit.

"You haven't told him anything have you mutt?" Vix questioned though she already knew the answer.

"I have no need to answer that, Now who are you and why are you here?" Davina said growling through her teeth.

"Calm down puppy I have no master I'm a wild spirit, born and raised this way. I saw Caiden and had to meet him, I've been looking for a master for thousands of years." Vix said and winked at Caiden who look like he was utterly confused.

"Well he is mine." Davina said.

"I believe that is his choice not yours. though telling him what's going on and the pertinent info would be good to" Vix said sarcastically.

Caiden listened to them talking about masters and spirits, he was utterly dumbfounded and he knew this was not going to help him in the long run to be normal. Davina finally calmed down and all three ended up in the living room, this was after Caiden put away the groceries though he did that mostly on auto pilot his mind was stuck on the whole spirit master business. Davina smiled as Caiden sat down across from the girls 'what nonsense am I about to hear now' he though.

"Okay Caiden its time to tell you what I know. We will start with the basics, you are what we call a spirit master. Spirit master are the protectors of the world from any threat that comes from the next world or Gaia as we call it." Davina started.

"Spirit masters don't exactly fight on their own, their job its to make guardians. Guardians using the power bestowed by masters defeat the evil which comes from Gaia to destroy humans and eat their souls, A master is always normally male and guardians female. The spirits which they can bestow are Fox, Crow, Wolf, Dragon, and Lion." Vix continued her explanation.

"So what were those armored men looking things that attacked us called? and who made them?"

"Simple the Gaian's made them to defend earth but something happened and now when evil Gaians attack those things appear and end up trying to kill anything that moves. They are called Armotrons." Vix told him.

"So I am a master who's soul purpose is too choose girls to fight evil, interesting ummmm... who made this s**t, Jesus." Caiden said angrily.

"Calm down, we both play important roles as the connection between the guardian and master strengthens as does the power which the guardian can wield. To transfer a spirit into a host you kiss the them." Vix said smoothly.

"Not why I'm angry, I just wanted to be normal but this kind of ruins my chances of that. Especially since I can never kiss any girl I ever like or ill pull them into this crazy stuff." Caiden said.

"That's why you have me my mate." Davina said smiling and now walked over to him and kissed him deeply.

"Speaking of which, how are you a wolf? The first spirit is supposed to always be the most powerful the dragon." Vix questioned and wondered.

"No idea, I was kissed as a little girl and the spirit which I got was the wolf." Davina said then looked at Caiden.

"So I have my spirits to make relationships with and the stronger bond we have the stronger they are as a guardian got it. So what are wild spirits?" Caiden asked remembering what Davina had said earlier.

"Wild spirits are born guardians and normally look for their rightful masters, normally it doesn't take long." Davina said then looked to Vix.

"Normally." Vix said then looked at Caiden and smiled.

"So you said these spirits have a hierarchy, what's the order?" Caiden asked.

"Dragon, Wolf, Crow, Lion, Fox. That is normally the order as at base power with no bond that would be the strongest top the weakest." Vix told him with a smile.

"Though that's no always how it is, bond is something that can make a fox lets say superior to a dragon." Davina continued.

"Wild spirits however don't have a hierarchy or a base power for us wild spirits, it depends on out age." Vix told both of them.

Caiden sat there in silence with Vix and Davina for a few minutes after they explained everything, he was tired now and it had been a long day. Getting up he looked to the girls then walked to his room without a word to either of them he needed to think on this and sleep. Vix looked to Davina who gave her a questioning look.

"So what are you doing here Vix? What are your intentions with my mate?" Davina asked defensively.

"Its simple in my three thousand five hundred years of life I've never met or sensed a master like him. He is intriguing and I'm making an assessment of him before I ask to join as his guardian." Vix put simply.

"Well there is another bedroom down the hall, you may sleep their tonight but after that your fate is up to my mate." Davina said then walked off down the hallway.

"Have a good night." Vix said before she found herself laying on the couch, she had a home now.

Caiden lay in his bed starring at his ceiling, he had so much to think about besides the fact his life was never going to be the same ever again and he could never have a normal relationship. He was a master or what ever that meant, he was told before in a dream to find them, did it mean his guardians. Finally sleep took hold of him his mind could race no more.

Caiden found himself back in his dream world and looking around he saw the girls from before though this time it was very clear who they were, Davina was in her black Kimono, Raven was in a white kimono, Miki was in light blue and Vix was in the red Kimono. The booming voice sounded off again almost like a demanding parent.

"You found them, now make them yours!" the voice boomed again before Caiden was woken up.

Caiden found himself back in his room though turning over to his side he saw the clock read 3:30, he sighed and then felt it a body was next to him. It was Davina next to him, Caiden blushed as he turned around to face her, had she accidentally went to the wrong room, was she so tired she had done that. Davina could hear his thoughts racing in her sleep but didn't move she was comfy being next to him.

"Davina, your in the wrong..." Davina interrupted him.

"I know where I am Caiden, go back to sleep." Davina said tiredly.

He didn't fight her he was still exaughsted and fell back asleep though this time it was different instead of running away from her, Caiden ended up holding her in his arms as they slept. Caiden couldn't help but feel content as he slept though he couldn't have a normal life he figured as long as Davina was there he could be okay. He didn't really know why he felt that but somehow she just made him feel at ease even though he wasn't okay with any of this she made him feel better just by being there.

Both slept soundly until about 7:00 when they heard the door slam open, to their surprise no laughing or sarcasm just a smirking Vix stood at the doorway. Caiden woke and now saw Davina was in just a white shirt which barely made it done to cover her lady parts. Davina smiled and latched on to him, her mate had let her sleep with him for the first time since they were very little.

"Ill go to my room and change then ill come get you so we can leave to school." Davina said and now rushed to her room her cheeks burning red.

To Caiden's surprise Vix was in one of their uniforms and smiled at the two, she couldn't go to their school could she, her smirk said otherwise. All three left and now headed to the school. They passed Ravens house and she joined them though she didn't talk much and stayed close to Davina and strayed away from Vix. Vix smiled at the girl but got nothing until they finally got to the school.

"Well ummmm... byeCaidenseeyoulater." she said quickly in a quick blurb and ran off into the school.

"Ill see you at lunch my mate." Davina said and kissed his cheek, to almost everyone at school it must have looked like they were together.

"What about you Vix?" Caiden asked

"I'm in your class obviously, I didn't come after seeing you a master there." Vix told him ass they walked into class.

Caiden walked into class and everyone stared at him and Vix who while they walked in jumped on his back playfully, Mikki was up in seconds yelling at Vix but it didn't stop the whispers from his other classmates. 'isn't he dating that senior' or 'what a dog dating two girls at once' he also hear 'you think its a cover up' these were all whispers and things his classmates were talking about he could only imagine what the rest of the school thought.

"I'm the worst." Caiden said quietly to himself sitting down, Vix sat down soon after next to him in the empty seat from the day before.

Class seemed to go by so slow for Caiden that was until time literally stopped , looking around he saw Vix get up and take him by the arm. As she grabbed his arm, Miki looked around confused and freaked out she started shouting. Vix let go of Caiden and ran to Miki and covered her mouth and held her down.

"You are going to get yourself killed, now stop yelling. I'm going to let you go so don't freak out an I'll explain." Vix told her.

Miki nodded and as Vix let her go she tried to run only to have Vix in front of her taking both her hands she chopped both sides of her neck this somehow caused the girl to fall to the ground unconscious. Vix smirked and looked to Caiden then pointed to her, he sighed picking her up. Of course one of the girls from his dream would somehow wake during a Gaia attack.

Davina was in gym with the freshman class when time stopped and she immediately went into spirit mode ears coming out as well as her tail then grabbed hold of her katana, she needed to find Caiden. As she was about to run off she saw Raven moving trying to get someone to move or talk or anything she was freaking out a bit but stopped and then saw Davina.

"Davina what's going on?" Raven asked.

"No time to explain just come with me, we need to find Caiden." she told the young girl.

Raven jumped on her back and that's when the Armotrons came again, Davina was ready her sword out she knew she had to get to Caiden but not at the risk of getting Raven killed. Davina cut through the armored men and did her best to not get Raven hurt while having her on her back.
