CHAPTER 55— HIS LIES AND HIS MANIPULATION.
THIRD PERSON POV
Edith’s eyes opened. The events of last night flashed through her head and a smile settled upon her face. She was a Luna, the Luna of the moonshade pack. At the thought of it, she felt the weight of a huge responsibility on her. She turned to her side with worry in her eyes only to find the bed empty. “Bal?” she called. She glanced out the window, it was still dark outside. Edith slid out of the bed and then went to the bathroom only to find it empty. She came out and then went back to the bed and the side where Ballister should have slept on was cold. She frowned. Had he gone to his office to work? with how they had both tire themselves out she assumed that he would be dead asleep on the bed but instead, he had gone out again.
