CHAPTER 63— Where Is She?
BALLISTER’S POV
“CARTER!” I yelled again just in case he didn’t hear me but he did as he stopped abruptly and turned around. “Shift!” I commanded using my Alpha tone. It pained me to use that tone on him, I wasn’t one to particularly use the Alpha tone on my close friend and sister unless I had no choice like right now. I could feel my body shake with fury but I wasn’t going to act out first.
Carter shifted into his human form. I walked to him, and every step that I took vibrated with the anger that I felt. His eyes widened upon seeing me and then his face settled into a calm demeanor like I hadn't just noticed the surprise on his face. “Where is she?” I questioned, beating to the chase.
“Who?” Carter asked and I scoffed, “Do not play dumb with me, Carter!”
