Edith turned on the bed as her eyes slowly opened. “How are you feeling?” Ballister questioned. He sat at the edge of the bed, his eyes hadn’t moved from her since he last found her in the forest unconscious. What she had been doing there, he had no idea. He remembered returning to the room only to find it empty and Edith was nowhere in sight. At first, he hadn’t thought much about it as he passed it off that she might be with Carter not until he had seen Carter and he had a worried look on his face.
