Chapter 3: Under water

The mer look around him as all the mermans and mermaids happily swimming around, seems to be so contented of swimming and being with the one they love, he feel envy to them,

Coz here he is, he got everything,except one. The one that belongs  to him.

He is living  his life for more than one thousand years now, as merpeople didnt die in natural death, so they live for millions years, But he still. Didnt find his mate.

He was in that state of mind when he feel a tap on his shoulder, he turn around to see who it is, and he find its his father.

What are you thinking son? He ask him.

Tharn smile at his father,

Nothing father, im just enjoying watching them. He pointed the merpeople in front of him.

Will why dont you join them, enjoy this wonderful day too, this festivity is for everyone to enjoy.,

And for you.. His father added.

The merman look at his father, questioning about the last words he say.

Will your mother and i decided that you where going to married one of the maiden in the house of TRINOCH.

He jolt up and he face his father again.

This thing is not for you to decide father! His voice raise up.

You know that there is someone for me out there  , and you know how important to us to have our real mate. He added.

His father stand up and come beside him.

We know son, but we think it will be good if you marry one of the....

Stop! The merman raise his one hand in front of his father,

I wont let you or mother to decide in this thing. My life and my happiness is depend on it.. I will find the one tha.......

He suddenly  stop talking, his expression change.

There is something happened, he feel a tingling in his skin, like a wave of electrical current,

He look at his father, who is looking at him in curiosity.

I need to leave. He said and he swim away.

He is here...! He is back!!! The merman is so happy that he will see that boy again... the tingling sensation is still there and  its leading him to where it come from.

He been waiting for this day to come, for how  many years he been longing for this kind of feeling.

When he feel  that he is almost near to the place where the current come from, he swim up into the  surface he always like the view of the sunlight under the water, he pop up his head in the water, scan the island in front of him, he didnt come so near, he is still afraid someone  might see him. He just want to make sure that the boy is back..

And then there he saw, a young man setting  in the seashore.

The warm feeling flooded in the mer hearts when he saw the young man,  his heart hammering in chest..

He is here.. The mer is so happy that he want to sing in joy..

He look back again and its remind him when he first saw him there lying down in the seashore... .

The high tide is coming the water is starting to go up, the mer who just sitting in the rocky  part of the island and, he look again to the boy who is now lying in the sand, seems like sleeping now.

The water is slowly covering his thighs

The Mer look around them, scanning the area if there is other people, when he thought its okey, he slowly swim to the the shore, he come near to the little boy who is still lying down like it is sleeping already.

He put his face an inch away from the boy face, the mer face become serious.

He sense something wrong with the boy.

He is sick..he whisper,

He saw some bruises in the boy arms and he touch it, but he withdraw his finger immediately as another wave of electrical current come from it. He look back at the face of the sleeping boy and he gasp as he saw a blood coming from his nose..  But what have caught his attention is the boy blood have something on it. Something so familiar to him,.  maybe humans cannot see it, but him he can see it  clearly,

He didnt think twice anymore, he need to help him, he carry the boy into the water,

And he do the thing that will change this boy life forever.....

The Mer stop thinking bout the past when he saw hte young man stand..

Type feel the itching in his skin... He always feel this before, like his skin is so dry,  but not like now, its itchy and tingly.

He look at the water, he dont understand but the water is like its calling him. The wave is like waving at him.

He stand up and strips all his clothes and leave only his swimming  trunk.

He make his way to where the sand and the water meet,  when he step in the water he is anticipating the feeling  of the electrical current but nothing happened,

Type smile relieved that nothing happened.

He immersed his body in the water, he close his eyes., he feel relax, those things he feel a moment ago, its all gone, like his skin is back to normal. Like his skin longing for the water. Like his skin drinking the water.

He dive deeper  his body is so light underwater,

He keep kicking  his legs, so his speed will increase.

Until he notice, he is no longer in the shallow part of the beach., he keep swimming underwater that he didn't  notice that he didnt even go up and breath..

How long is in down there.? He ask him self

Oh my God.! he speak the bubbles comes out in his mouth, he even follow his eyes on it.

Im breathing under water?im not dreaming, this is true.?

He panic, who will never be?  if something like this happened

And then he tried to breath in but the water come inside his nose that make him wince in pain.

What the heck!! He double his speed to resurface.

Holyshit!! He utter in surprise. He is far in the island now.

He feel his breathing come so fast,

Shit! Im having  a panic attack, Help!!

He scream, hoping someone  will heard him, which is he know its impossible.

Nobody  in the beach, and even if there is. Its impossible if they can hear him. And then suddenly the  wind change the water that had been peaceful when he get in become rogue, the waves is bigger a tossing him.

A storm!

He said it loud, it happened too fast. Why he didnt even see it coming. The horizon is so clear, even the broadcast about weather didnt tell that there is a storm coming.

Type sink when two rogue waves comes in consecutively., he try to gasp when he resurface in the water but another wave is coming and push him down under the water again.

He eyes is open, and he saw how his surrounding turn as the water tossing him around..

God am i going to die here.. He close his eyes.

No your not. He hear a whisper

Type stop. His eyes snap open, he ignored the salty water that coming inside his eyes.

He definitely heard it.

Or im just  hallucinating. He whisper.

Maybe he is. His brain is lacking of oxygen now thats why maybe he is imagining things. Things that he know its impossible coz no one there with him.

He will die there alone and no one will ever know.,

Dad... Dannie... He call for his father and sister. His tears mix with the sea water, 

Just relax and keep your feet moving.

Say the voice again.Type do what the voice say to him..And he slowly push up his body up to the surface.  And then he realize something.

The voice is in his mind, speaking to him inside his mind.

How could it be.? Someone is talking to me telepathically?

Who are you? Type ask, but that question  is only in his mind. 

Soon you will know, but right now, allow me to get you in a safer place.

Type, feel a bit scared of who ever it is talking to him, but he is more scared of the big waves that surrounding him right now.

Please. He whisper.. And he close his eyes, he leave his life to who ever it is talking to him.

And then he feel something hold him in his arms, its a hand.. A human hand grips on his arms.

Someone is there too..

Type feel so tired, the waves is still big and the ocean is rogue, but the feeling  that send to him by who ever holding his arms makes him feel relax,.

And safe....

Im not going to die here.. He murmured.

No, your not going to die. Again the voice speak in his mind.

And he pass out.

Type wake up in the sound of someone humming...

He move a bit, but didnt open his eyes.. He still want to listen on the soothing sound, it feels so good in the ears.

And feels so good in his heart..

Whoever making this sound he doesnt want to disturbe it, he wants to stay like that and let it make him feel better.

Yes, this person is making him feel better, like its takes away all his worry and other negative feelings he had.

Your awake,  He heard the voice again.

Type eyes open, he saw a rock on top of him. He look around him, he saw a wall of rock too.

Where am i.? He ask to his unknown savior.

In another island, the storm is so strong i can't bring you back to the shore.. A voice who is so soft and so caressing answered him back.

Type look in his left and saw a man there, a muscular man,

The man is standing there in front of him,

Type dad is so worried about him, he is praying  that  hi son is okey,

Daddy where is Type? Dianalene ask.

Arthur dont know what to say to his daugther,even him doesnt know where is his son now. With the raging storm outside, he dont know what to do.

Oh God please  keep him safe.  He close his eyes while he pray.

Amanda mantén a nuestro hijo a salvo por favor. (Amanda keep our son safe please). He whisper.

Arthur want to regret, maybe his wife is right, he should not let Type come near in the island.  Something  always happened when Type is here.

Uncle, he will be fine.. He turn around and see Tong, In his  face the worries is visible too.

He nod his head to him. And look back outside.

This kind of situation bring him back on the time they comeback to the city after they found Type floating in the sea..

Mr and Mrs Diaz,please come in the office. Doctor Ernesto wants to talk to you.

Amanda look at the nurse and thank her before he hold her husband hand.

They bring Type to his Doctor again for a check up, they are scared maybe something happened to him after they found him in the water.

They knock on the door, and come in.

The doctor greet them happily, but in the face there is an emotions that they cant point out.

Worries..

Confusion..

Happiness..

I dont know how to say this Mr and Mrs Diaz. The doctor look at them.

This really confused me, coz we just check him four days ago right.?  And.... And the cancer is still there.

Doc im sorry but can you just tell us, whats wrong. Amanda interrupt the Doctor..

Doctor Ernesto smile at them..

The Doctor get some papers in his table and give to them..

Its the result of Type lab test.

Amanda muttered. He look at the Doctor, now they understand why he had thats kind of expressions when they enter the room.

I dont know how it happened, We run the test and check it for how many times and the result come out the same. The Doctor still talking.

Amanda look at Arthur.

In her eyes  she is telling her husband "i told you!

The cancer is gone, he is cure. No trace of any cancer cells in his blood. Actually its like he didnt had it. The doctor still continue talking to them.

Amamda burst in tears.

His son will live, his son will stay with them.. She is happy, but deep inside her she is worried, Something happened there in the water. she is thankful Type is okey now, but at the same time she is scared and worried. 

They thank the Doctor and they leave,

Im scared  Arthur. Amanda  whisper.

Nothing will happened to him. Lets be thankful he is okey now, Whatever happened there is good too, our son dont have cancer anymore.

Amanda nod but the tears keep falling in her face.

And they promise never to bring Type in the island again.

Until this time come..

Uncle are you  okey? A tap in his shoulder bring back Arthur  in the present.

He look back to Tong and nod his head.

Type will be alright. He whispered,  he believe who ever save his son before will save him again. The ocean will not let his son die.

Lets rest.. When the storm gone we will look for him. He said to them and he inside his room.

He look at the portrait of his wife in the room.

He dont want to think about it, its been ages since the last one come out in their family. Centuries actually, Type is not like that. He is normal.

Arthur walk back and fort in his room. And then he sit in his bed.

Or they should be thankful. The blood that run to their vains save Type. Maybe that is the reason the cancer gone. The island and the.... The things living under the island save his Son.
