My Baby, He has my Baby!

Carter and Onacona skidded to a stop at the end of the forest line, crouched down as one to avoid being seen by any of the Walee pack members that could have been patrolling the site.  The ringing in his ears intensified as he could feel his group of warriors coming in quietly behind him, their anxiousness filling the void in his thoughts.  "We all need to calm down, and approach this with ease," Onacona mindlinked through to the warriors. His large muscular grey head quietly looking over his shoulder and back into the woods where they came from. He counted his men and women fighters behind him to make sure noone was left behind. Suddenly, he stopped, his ears perked and his eyes widened. He had only counted 32... He left with 33. Carter could feel Onacona becoming restless, "where is she?" he hissed in the back of his mind. Carter knew that Marian and Gola were not far behind them, but it was unlike her to be completely behind. As an Alpha she was usually leading the pack, or right at Carter's shoulder. It made him anxious and angry at his mate. This was their child, and she was nowhere to be found.  When Gola and her beautiful pearlescent tan coat slowly padded through the break in the trees, and her blue crystal eyes landed on Onacona, Carter felt his beastly counterpart's heart begin to throb. He always had the same reaction as the first day he had met her, his true mate. A love that simply cannot be broken. Losing sight on the reason they were here, Carter shook his counterpart quickly, regaining his thought process.  "Her smell is fading." He could feel Gola's voice slide into his skull, easing his tension. Her voice like velvet and silk against his temples. He relished in her voice, for a moment indulging in the company.  "She must have somehow left from this area." Onacona spoke, quietly nudging his mate as she stepped up beside them.  Carter quickly looked both ways at the intersection they were at. It was a paved road, that seemed to be slow with car traffic. Something they didn't have at the Ash Pack territory. Walee had left their traditional spirit and eventually forgotten the God's that created the creatures that roamed the Earth. Thankfully for the Ash Pack, Warrior's were exposed to the developed and industrialized world before joining, so they knew what they were up against. However, many of the Ash pack members had never seen a car before, houses made of stone or plastic siding, or even lights and telephone poles. Carter feared that if his entire pack had seen how developed the world was and how much of an easier life they have here in the Walee pack, he would lose all the members he worked so hard to protect and maintain.  A car went zooming past the group of wolves in the tall grass, paying no mind to them on the side of the road. The entire group of warriors backed further into the forest as it approached, and held their breath when it passed.  Gola looked to her warriors behind her, "do you think she got in a car and left? After our meeting?" She asked, turning to Onacona who looked deep in thought.  "It's possible." He stated, "If that's the case we will never be able to find her."  As he stated those last words, suddenly the ground erupted into a thunder that shook all the werewolves to the core. A mass amount of growls that were so close, it made everyone's hairs run high on their backs. The Ash pack group ran into the woods, well aware of the incoming growls that approached them.  Onacona's eyes were wide with anticipation, anxiety beginning to fuel his anger and every as he ran next to Gola with their warriors trailing quickly behind them.  "How do they know we are here?" He heard Marian mindlink him through their connection.  "They must have sensed us, we must go!" Onacona's voice began to blend with Carter's as he commanded his warriors to keep moving.  When a group of black wolves, speckled with white hairs came rushing through the forest and taking down the Ash warriors the group stopped moving to face their opponents head on. Gola now fully taking over Marian became riddled with anger and hatred, now knowing the information about her child. Her lips pulled back into a large snarl as she lunged at the first Walee Warrior. Ripping his throat out quickly, and tossing his lifeless body to the side.  Onacona in the meantime, caught an attacker quickly as it attempted to pound on Gola. His snarl vibrating the back of the wolves back, as he shook the wolf like a ragdoll. His frustration building as he watched his fellow members one by one get taken down by advanced Walee pack members. They were clearly outnumbered, and this made Onacona fill with dread. He shouldn't have been so rash to run into territory lines, he should have known they would have sensed the group and pursued them. He sighed as he finally clamped down on his victims spinal cord, breaking it quickly causing the wolf to yell out in agony before dropping the body and rushing to a warrior's aid.  When Onacona finally got a fellow Ash member up off the ground, and safe from an attacker, he heard his Beta Steven call out to him. When Onacona turned to look he saw Gola in the jaws of a black wolf, his coat slick with oil. He appeared to be sick, as his breathing was ragged as he held Gola in his jaws. The scruff of her neck beginning to bleed as she attempted to push and wiggle herself out of his grasp. The wolf's lips pulled into a large smile, foam coming from his mouth as he shook her a few times, earing a yelp from both Gola and Marian.  Onacona felt his heart sank, and his limbs go numb as he soon too started to feel the pain irradiate from his neck where his mate was being held. Steven attempted to run at the wolf, when a voice spoke. His dark body walking infront of Gola and the wolf holding her body. "You step one more foot Beta, we kill the Alpha." His voice, causing chills down Onacona's spine as he looked at the scratches and missing hair across his face.  When the all black wolf turned to look at Onacona his smile broke out to be even larger. "Hello Alpha. I see we meet again." His voice slick. As he looked down at Gola, and gently nudged her body. Earning a growl of jealousy and protectiveness from Onacona.  Gola quickly wiggled and whimpered away from the touch of Cadell.  "Such a beautiful Luna." Cadell stated with longing. "It's a shame she didn't join us when she had the chance." His eyes boring into Gola's with admiration but hate at the same time. "Brutus had a soft spot for you then, when he didn't kill you." Cadell smelled her scent, as the wolf holding her began to chuckle. "I don't think my friend Ed will give you the same curtisee."  Suddenly Gola's eyes lit up as she smelled the air, her nose working. She attempted to hide the hurt in her eyes when she looked at Onacona, who picked up on the scent as well. "My Baby! He has my baby!" Her voice mindlinked through to his.  Cadell picking up on this unknown conversation only sighed in frustration and exhaustion. "Kill her." He simply stated before the wolf holding Gola, shook her so violently that the life began to drain from her eyes.  Her mating link and presence in Onacona's mind began to weaken, and that's when Onacona finally shook out of his dazed bewilderment and lunged for the wolf holding his mate. His Beta Steven pouncing on Cadell as Onacona attempted to rip his dieing mate from the wolf's jaw. Taking him by the jugular and crushing it quickly, then quickly attempting to release the muscles of the dead wolf's jaw from around his mate's neck.  Steven continued to fight with Cadell, his loyalty to Onacona and the Ash pack strong. The warriors of the Ash pack taking this moment of relief from fighting to get the upper hand on the attackers, beginning to take them down one by one slowly.  Onacona watched in horror as his mate's eyes began to roll in the back of her head, her form beginning to shift of that resembling a naked woman. Gola was attempting to heal Marian, but was too weak and was trying to save as much energy as she could by transitioning to a human once again. Instead this time she struggled. Her legs beginning to shift, but her hands, paws, and head similar to that resembling a wolf. Onacona could feel his heart slowly breaking and the tears prickling his eyes. He attempted to hold her slowly shifting form in his arms as he too began to shift, his body not letting hers touch the ground. He made quick work of cutting a small cut on the palm of his hand, and attempting to drop small amounts of his blood onto the wounds covering the back of her neck where he skin was torn.  He began to cry, tears flowing down the sides of his cheeks as he watched the only resemblance of his family die. His blood making slow work on healing the fresh wounds on her skin.
