The homeroom teacher soon uncovered the whole truth. He contacted the competition organizers from previous years and confirmed that the “original” plan provided by Li Na was a forgery. At the same time, he verified that Yu Han’s business plan was completely original.
The teacher gave Li Na a severe reprimand and ordered her to apologize to Yu Han in front of the whole class.
But Li Na refused to admit her mistake, sobbing loudly:
“Teacher Wang, I’m not lying! That is the original plan! Yu Han copied it! You’ve been tricked by her!”
Seeing Li Na stubbornly denying everything, the teacher lost his patience. He immediately summoned Li Na’s parents to the school.
Li Na’s parents were businesspeople who had spoiled their daughter rotten. Even after learning the truth, they still tried to defend her.
“Teacher Wang, it’s just kids messing around. Do we have to take it so seriously?” Li Na’s mother said. “Yu Han hasn’t really suffered any loss. Can’t we just let it go?”
“Let it go?” The teacher frowned. “Li Na deliberately forged evidence to frame a classmate. This is no longer a trivial matter — this is a moral failure! If we don’t deal with it seriously, more students will be hurt in the future!”
Just then, Yu Han walked in. She looked at Li Na and her parents, her voice icy.
“This cannot be let go.”
Li Na’s father’s face darkened.
“You’re just a child. What do you know? This doesn’t concern you. Go back to class!”
“Whether it concerns me is not for you to decide.” Yu Han met his gaze fearlessly. “Li Na framed me, causing me to be questioned by teachers and classmates, and damaged my reputation. I demand she publicly apologize to me and compensate me for emotional distress.”
“Compensate you for emotional distress?” Li Na’s mother sneered. “A poor girl like you, crying about emotional distress? You’re just crazy for money!”
“Money means little to me, but my reputation matters,” Yu Han said calmly. “If you refuse to compensate or make Li Na apologize, I will have no choice but to file a complaint with the Education Bureau or pursue legal action to protect my rights.”
“How dare you!” Li Na’s father shouted angrily.
“Why wouldn’t I dare?” Yu Han held up her phone and shook it slightly. “I have a recording of Li Na admitting to framing me, plus evidence of her forged plan. If this blows up, it won’t do Li Na’s future — or your company’s reputation — any good, will it?”
Li Na’s parents paled. They never expected Yu Han to be so shrewd and have kept evidence. As businesspeople, their reputation was everything. If the scandal reached the Education Bureau or the courts, their company would suffer.
“How much do you want?” Li Na’s father asked, his tone softening.
“Not much,” Yu Han said. “Ten thousand yuan in compensation for emotional distress. And Li Na must apologize to me publicly in front of the entire school.”
“Ten thousand? You might as well rob a bank!” Li Na’s mother shrieked.
“This is my lowest demand,” Yu Han said firmly. “If you disagree, we’ll see each other in court.”
The homeroom teacher also spoke up:
“Mr. and Mrs. Li, Yu Han’s request is reasonable. Li Na’s actions have caused her great harm. A public apology and compensation are only right.”
Li Na’s parents exchanged glances and finally gave in.
“Fine. We agree,” Li Na’s father said. “But you must delete the recording and all evidence.”
“No problem,” Yu Han nodded. “Once Li Na apologizes as promised and the compensation is paid, I will delete everything.”
The story spread across the entire school in no time.
At the Monday flag-raising ceremony, Li Na stood on the stage as agreed and apologized to Yu Han in front of all teachers and students.
Her voice cracked, her face pale, filled with humiliation and resentment.
Yu Han stood among the crowd, watching her with a blank expression, her heart completely calm.
After the apology, Li Na’s parents handed the ten thousand yuan to Yu Han.
Holding the money, Yu Han smiled inwardly.
This ten thousand was both Li Na’s punishment and another injection of capital for her business empire.
