'Do not mock a pain that you have not endured’.
Chapter 2 “Until tomorrow.”
I was surrounded by fire, ashes, and destroyed houses. Screams could be heard in the distance. There was blood splattered everywhere.
I heard my mother chanting to me with her sweet honey voice “Wake up, baby! I said, "Wake up... Wake up, baby” and I was confused.
Why is she telling me to wake up when I was not asleep? Then she screamed out offnowhere, her face was bleeding, she had some wounds all over her body and she looked scary “Wake up!".
I woke up startled. I was now sitting on the dirty floor, panting. I looked around the room. I was in a cell filled with blood, a foul smell of decay, and one small atbrokenm bed. In front of me was a thick silver bar, but it won’t be harmful to me as much as it may harm them.
“I wonder if there are any survivors,” I asked myself out loud. I am a hundred per cent sure that with me, there were few members of my people who were kept with their common prisoners.
Memories from the last night were still fresh in my head. They played repeatedly, over and over again. My brain kept on screaming to me that it was not a nightmare but a reality.
And I knew that very well.
Their pack outnumbers us, which would have made it easy to subdue us. “Everyone I love is dead” At the end, I concluded.
I became alarmed when I heard voices, three voices specifically. “Where is the girl I told you about?” he asked, his voice sounding so familiar. “She has the highest ranking, So she will be tortured them more than others,” the second voice said. The third voice replied, “She is in cell number 812... Which is right here.”
The door opened to reveal three strongly built men. They seem like someone with a lot of power. When they came closer, open the door. First, one aura practically screams Alpha and the other two, I guess, maybe his beta and gamma.
“Good morning, rise and shine, pumpkin. I see that you are wide awake,” he said. He looks at me like we were long-time acquaintances “Welcome to my kingdom. Unfortunately, you’ll be here for a very long time, pumpkin.” Alpha said with a devilish smirk. He pulled me by my hair, dragging me out of the cell.
On the way as Alpha was dragging me, I saw the other cell they were worse than mine many rogues were looking like they were not given food for years, some were close to dying, beaten up pretty badly and others condition I couldn’t even describe it properly.
He turned left into a room with a bunch of shackles drilled into the wall. As we came closer to the wall, I noticed a tray full of torture devices that were to be used on their prisoners.
He pulled me up and locked the shackles around my hands and feet. He walked over to the tray of weapons and picked up a whip.
“This is barely gonna hurt... Well, for me, yep...” he said. He swung back his arm and released me. I felt like I was shot. He just kept swinging and swinging.
I was tortured for hours, maybe days I couldn’t remember, it has been a while since I have seen the last time sunlight of the day. The pain is unbearable. Tears were running down my face.
“Oh is the little poor baby girl crying now? Did I hurt you that bad?” he taunted me to give up. Well, he and I know that I will never give in.
“Well, I think you’ve had enough for today.”
He walked towards me, I turned my head so I wouldn’t have to look at him. He unlocked the shackles, and my body fell limply into his arms. He carried me back into the cell and placed me on the dirty bed.
For some unknown reason, I felt like my emotion busting out, anger, sadness, and most of all, pain when I was in his arms. I started to feel a little dizzy.
“Until tomorrow,” he said before closing the cell door. Took one last look at me, then left. It was the last thing I remember.
